Things you should know before booking: - The apartment is directly located over a noisy, boisterous sports bar with outside seating. "Happy Hour" runs from 4 pm - 2 am on weekdays, and until 4 am on weekends. And the Parisians go hard. - The building across the street is being gut-renovated. Be ready all day long for construction noise, trucks, etc.- The apartment does not have AC. It was 90-95 degrees when we were visiting. So you have to open the windows, and you get the full blast of noise- The bedroom is so small that you can barely make it around the bed without whacking your chin. The bathroom door opens only halfway before bumping into the bed frame. - The bedroom window opens toward a really small courtyard. The neighbors were smoking constantly, and had their own hard-core techno party going on one night until 4 am. Again, in the heat with no ACs and the windows open not ideal - The bathroom and shower are postage-sized, and reek of epoxy. - It's listed as "First Floor", but it's actually the U.S. second floor. Be prepared to schlepp your luggage up a narrow hallway (that also heavily smells like smoke)- Actually, checking in is a treasure hunt. Make sure you carefully study their check-in videos or you're not going to figure it out. - The check-in process is just awful: After you make the reservation, they make you upload your ID. Then you have to post a 400 deposit through their weird payment system. They treat you like a criminal, not a guest
