This hotel is near major landmarks in Paris such as the Louvre, Galerie Lafayette (shopping!), etc. There are restaurants all around the corner so you never have to worry about going hungry plus they also offer breakfast for a fee, in case you just want to grab a bite real quick without leaving the hotel. Staff is excellent! Jef is the BEST Front Desk Agent there. He answered our questions as well as provided any restaurant recommendations. The only issue we had is the shower door that barely provided any shield so taking a shower was quite challenging because the floor would get extremely wet. The elevator is so small that only two people (with luggage) could fit in comfortably but other than that, it served its purpose so if you are in Paris for a short period and just need a hotel in the city center then this is the place to stay!

This hotel gets the important stuff right - the location is excellent, an hour from the airport, Disneyland or Verailles, great travel links, but also very quiet so no disturbances. Internet was great, fine for uploading tonnes of photos after a busy day. Staff were fine, property was clean and the area seemed safe. Beds were cosy and the room spacious. We heard nothing from any adjacent rooms or the street so slept well. Breakfast was buffet-style for the most part and totally fine for our needs; cereal, bread products, juices, hot drinks, eggs etc. Breakfast was free for kids but 15 euros per adult per day. So I would say the important stuff was fine and I'd recommend the hotel. My only small reservation is the bathroom, which is accessed via a pocket door that proved impossible to fully close - there was always about a one-inch gap. The bathroom was a little cramped and it was difficult to ever fully dry towels, for instance, as the ventillation wasn't great. The door could easily be replaced so it's curious that this hasn't been done, as I see the bathroom door has been raised elsewhere. But yes, very good indeed overall and great value.

Simple hotel. à la limite du 3 étoile a vrai dire. pas de savon dans la salle de bain, juste dans la douche. une odeur de cigarette alors qu'on est bien dans un étage non fumeur (avec forte odeur le dimanche matin, comme si on fumait derriere la porte de la chambre). J'ai connu beaucoup de 3 étoiles bien mieux dans le même quartier. Je n'y retournerais pas.

I loved my room especially the bathroom which was super clean and had a big shower. The staff at reception were super helpful too. Location was fabulous and so easy to walk to all the main attractions. I will definitely stay here again.

Almost perfect!
I would like to give a shout-out to Jeff, the receptionist, who provided us with the best reception I have ever received. He assisted us with every detail of our stay, and we are extremely grateful. Our room was immaculately cleaned, and the hotel's comfort level exceeded our expectations. However, someone had eaten my husband's special chocolate edition, and we couldn't complain since we had no proof. We advise you to be careful with your food in your room. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel and its location.

Great location
Quiet hotel and well kept. The rooms are small but that is expected in Europe. We had a window room to the street and it was very quiet. The rooms and the hotel in general were very clean as well, and you can’t beat the location!!! I would stay here again!

Bad service. The pics are much more nicer than the hotel. No room service. Very well located- near the opera. A lot of restaurants , cafe , stores nearby. The room really small and with low ceilings. The air conditioning was not working- they did not have some one on site to fix it. Not very helpful or problem solvers.

Excellent location. Walked almost everywhere. Room was clean. Daily housekeeping. Not a very big room but adequate. No real amenities. I did not try the offered breakfast at 8 Euro but the price sounds good. There was a notice about renovation work but it did not bother us on the third floor.

A good hotel to stay. Staff Jean is very friendly and supportive. I notice he opens the lift door for all guests. I true gentlemen. Hotel is in a great location. We can walk to Lourve, Opera house and Montmartre. I will recommend this hotel.

Nous sommes désolés pour le bruit de la rénovation. Notre horaire de construction est de 9h00 à 17h00, ce qui est conforme à la réglementation française.Concernant le nettoyage de la chambre, je vous ai appelé à 14h47 hier après-midi, et votre réponse a été qu'il n'y a pas besoin de nettoyage.

This hotel is a great location. Walkable to the Louvre, shopping, Opera. Lots of great cafes nearby. Very close to the Metro. Surprisingly quiet too. Our family of 4 stayed in a family room on the top floor and it was a nice size for us. It was clean. Hotel has a lift which is a nice plus.

Great value in central Paris near Opera
Hotel Gaillon Opera is in a side-street with many restaurants, bars and bakeries nearby. Gaillon Opera is a great value for money. The beds are comfortable, the staff is friendly, very helpful and speak english very well. You will also have quite fast Internet. If you're expecting a big room when you select a "standard room" be ready for a bed, a small table, a TV and a quite spacious bathroom. This is a great value in central Paris.

Reception is terribly cold and not helping guests at all. Anything your inquire goes no where. Rooms are tiny; Ceiling are low; Bathrooms are terrible and shower water goes everywhere. We had multiple rooms/days and needed to make changes due to scheduling, but was not able to get a penny refund at all. Staff just said will let manager know and nothing happens no matter how many times you inquired. Terrible place, will never go back to this hotel again.

Glad there was an elevator for bringing the luggage up at check in and down at check out. Would have liked to have breakfast available a bit earlier. Front desk folks were all friendly and willing to help. Front door monitored 24/7. Never once worried about safety. Lobby was always clean and welcoming.

Extremely disappointing and mislead guests
Our stay was not enjoyable at all due to the fact that the rooms looked nothing like what is online - the pictures are totally false to the reality of the rooms. We had two rooms and both were cramped, poorly decorated, one with a horrible view of the back of the building piping system. The bathrooms were basic, again very cramped. The whole thing was very, very disappointing and we will not be returning. Value for money = 0.

This is a convenient place to stay for walking to many attractions. It is only a few minutes walk from the Louvre. The airport bus stop is minutes away. There are tons of restaurants and shops close by.
