Renaissance Arc de Triomphe vlakbij .. inderdaad
We hadden besloten een luxe hotel te nemen, we wilden met twee kinderen ook twee tweepersoonsbedden. We hebben er twee keer een nacht geslapen. Het Renaissancehotel ligt inderdaad op loopafstand van de Arc de Triomphe die we dan ook meteen hebben beklommen (geen wachtttijden, mooi uitzicht). Ontvangst was zeer gastvrij, alert personeel. Bij de eerste overnachting hadden we kamer aan de straatzijde. Hier heb je een prachtig utizicht want glas van de vloer tot plafond. De kamer was niet heel groot maar wel groot genoeg en smaakvol en nieuw ingericht. Shiny badkamer met ligbad, alles nieuw. Tweede overnachting hadden we kamer aan de achterzijde. Men vroeg of we hiermee accoord gingen. We hebben ja gezegd. Deze kamer had een klein balkon - de enige plek in het hotel waar gerookt mag worden. Deze kamer was door het balkon iets kleiner en het uitzicht is veel minder plezierig dan de straatkant. De omgeving biedt genoeg ruimte om op loopafstand te eten. Het Hippopotamus restaurant aan de overkant is een aanrader om met kleine kinderen heen te gaan, die krijgen voor weinig geld 'n hamburger (echte) met frites, limonade en een flink kinderijsje. Metro's zijn in de buurt en daardoor is alles dichtbij. Al met al is het hotel een aanrader voor iedereen die het geld er voor over heeft. Neem wel een kamer aan de straatkant, dit is veel prettiger! O ja en er is ook nog een fitness ruimte waar je 24u/dag kunt lopen op de band of andere apparaten gebruiken.

A large piece of wood around the door frame in the bathroom (part of the door frame) fell off the wall - it was only glued on - and management at Marriott took 3 days to have it fixed and wouldn't allow us to change room nor would they give us a discount on our stay. I have 2 young children (2yo and 7yo) that stayed in that room that were exposed to the dust and glue fumes for those 3 days as well as the possibility of other pieces of wood potentially falling on us or my children. They said I needed to work through Expedia to get a discounted rate and when I followed their instructions, they still denied a discount. Terrible management, terrible hotel. The location is great, however, not worth paying to stay where there are safety issues and terrible management.

Great location, everything else was mehh
The building was outdated. Service was definitely not 5 stars. The reception staff was outstanding, guy sitting at the entrance was just lazy and sitting around. We were a group of 5, 2 elderlies 1 toddler and when we arrived, he offered no help with luggage. The rooms are really old. The property needs more renovation or just downgrade to 4 stars to be more like it.

Great Location , Only 5 Mins walking distance to the Champ Elysee … very friendly staff. Over all its a good hotel however if restaurant terace was bigger would’ve been better. Elevator had a maintenance issue hope that would be fixed soon. Over all for the price performance 100% is a good hotel.

Excellent customer service (otherwise a pricey hotel) We had excellent 1 night stay at the hotel. High rating is mainly due to the excellent customer service that we experience during our stay. Special shout out to Dylan, Knisha from the front desk and Emmanuel from the engineering team. Front desk was kind enough to have a piece of cake and balloons in the room for the birthday of our child. This was a very kind and sweet gesture from the hotel. Breakfast is excellent and hotel itself is just a short walk away from Arc de Triumph and Champs elysees, and Metro stations. Overall we enjoyed our short stay and if you want to be close to the center (and price is not a concern), this is an excellent place and we certainly recommend.

I really enjoyed staying at the Renaissance Arc de Triomphe. From my balcony on the 8th floor, I could see the Eiffle Tower and the Arc de Triomphe. The breakfast at the hotel was delicious, the staff were friendly, the room was clean, and there were lots of wonderful restaurants close by. I would stay there again.

We were disappointed with our stay here. After paying nearly $1,000 per night for a simple room, being refused an opportunity to stay on the side with a view of the Eiffel Tower without an additional $863 per night, we were told one of two elevators were not functioning. When we checked out, neither elevator was working and we had to carry three suitcases down seven flights of stairs. Additionally, the hotel charged us for the ridiculously overpriced rooms TWICE. They claimed not to know we had pre-paid through Expedia. All in all, it was a very frustrating experience for the cost of the room.

Hotel com apenas 1 elevador funcionando e mesmo assim em estado que requer manutenção e reforma. Isso nos obrigava a conviver com carrinhos de limpeza aguardando o único elevador. Carpetes sujos, manchados. Academia muito pobre de equipamentos e mesmo assim bem velhos. Esse Hotel não merece ser 5 estrelas. Não nesse momento. Apesar da cama confortável, Não vale o preço que pagamos pela diária. Foram 6 noites, 2 apartamentos.

The hotel had a great location, and was just a few blocks away from the Arc De Triomphe and other train stations, the hotel was clean, staff was friendly and attentive and the breakfast was great. For a family of 4, our room did not feel small. Would definitely return.
