Check-in and room itself was perfectly fine.
The issue came from the lounge access.
I have never seen such a horribly maintained lounge.
I visited for the free flow drink period.
Front desk staff at the lounger were dismissive and didn’t really bother even checking in with us throughout the time we were there (marked difference from every other lounge I’ve ever been to).
Drinks were a little underwhelming due to the lack of selection but the staff was great on that front.
Food, on the other hand, was abysmal.
Fish sticks were beyond chewy and tough.
When they brought out a new batch, it was already cold and the final batch I decided to try tasted sour.
They also offered fries, which were quite cold upon arrival.
To make matters worse, they ran out of plates and didn't even bother filling them for well over ten minutes.
The cake on top was the fact that they allowed children to stay at the lounge during this time period.
Nearly 15 screaming kids really is a bad idea when drinks are involved.
The following day, I visited the lounge a little before their afternoon tea time.
I walked in and got a wave of the hand saying I can sit anywhere.
There was literally one other guest but I ended up dodging 3 different tables due to their not having been cleaned.
I truly have never had such a bad experience with a hotel that considers themselves a luxury hotel.
Again, all other aspects of my stay were perfectly fine.
It’s just this specific department that is a bad joke.
