'We were the only the guests at the time, which meant we had a bedroom, lounge and dining all to ourselves. Margaret is the perfect host - warm and welcoming and completely unintrusive. The decor is classic federation style, all beautifully maintained, but also with modern air-conditioning - we were warm and toasty both inside and out!'

'Great apportunity to immerse yourself in the hustory of Parkes. Extensive garden and spacious house. Care should be taken with uneven flooring for elderly or young. Great for large family gathering with outdoor eating and pool if weather appealing. House was clean and more then comfortable for our stay. Good communication with owner who was more than happy to provide details on how to make our stay more comfortable.'

'Beautifully renovated and decorated old house complete with gorgeous pressed tin ceilings and chandeliers. Well equipped kitchen, shampoo/bodywash in bathrooms, clean bedding. It was a very hot weekend in Parkes and we enjoyed having the pool to cool off in. Upstairs bedroom was very hot but thankfully has air con which cooled it down adequately. Walking distance to the CBD and restaurants. Good communication with host. Couldn't ask for more really. Highly recommended.'

'Our stay was fabulous. The 3 bedroom house was perfect for us & it was such a lovely place to stay in. Feedback would be the room with the single beds has no power points to charge your phones or devices. The shower heads in both bathrooms need the keys checked. We couldn’t access Netflix etc These things didn’t affect how fabulous we thought the house was, it was wonderful. '

'Lake Forbes Motel serves a purpose. Stop and go... the property is old and does need maintenance, but it's fine for an overnight stay. It's been 3 years since we last stayed here and it's definitely worse for wear!'

'What a great place for our one night stay in Forbes. We were able to park the car and walk around town enjoying the beautiful town itself. Our accommodation was so very enjoyable. Super clean with everything we needed and especially a wonderfully comfortable bed. Nice room with a verandah. We certainly enjoyed our stay and would recommend and definitely stay again.'
