We stayed for 3 nights in a suite, which had every comfort you expect. Excellent bed, great shower, spacious room. Given that it is located in a UNESCO protected building there are limitations to what can be changed to the building. The room is fairly noisy as it only has single glass and parts did not have glass at all (only wooden panels). Earplugs are foreseen as the hotel staff is aware of the problem. Across the street there is a very lively street food bar which has live music going...

This hotel is so wonderful! As soon as you check in the friendly staffs takes care of you in every single way without any pressure. On our trip in Malaysia, this staff was by far the friendliest we've experienced. Our room was beautiful, clean and authentic. It isn't an impersonal room like you get in most hotels, but a room full of character and style. I actually dont want to tell the crowd how great it is to preserve the uniqueness of this place, but the staff deserves all the accolades.
