'The rooms here are nice sized but in need of a refresh. A beautiful historic hotel in the center of Red Wing, with easy access to everything and ample parking. But, the rooms need modernization; they are a bit sparse. There is a Keurig and an alarm clock and a smallish TV. But they just feel a bit empty and simple. 'I researched most of the hotels in Red Wing. This looked like the best option. I was very satisfied with the room, staff, and the breakfast options. We did not use the pool and did not intend to. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.'

'Check in took a long time. Room was very hot and took over an hour to cool down. No towels in the bathroom, when we asked for some we were told that we had to go down and get them ourselves while one of us was already out of the shower waiting to dry off. The bed sheets had spots on them. The checkout staff was very friendly and probably the only good experience.'

' Everything was great. There 2 super minor things to critique. We ran out of hot water when showering with that many guys to shower after long day out hunting (we just staggered our showers over longer time frame for the second day) and there was loose step stone on the steps.
