'I really liked Arwana and would stay here again. It’s literally right on the beach. The water is crystal clear and baby reef sharks swim around happily. Perhentian doesn’t have any roads so the hotel can arrange water taxis. We did the Redang island trip and the snorkelling trip, both arranged by Arwana and they were both excellent. Don’t go expecting a 5 star experience, but this hotel has a rustic charm, the room was nice and clean and the pool is a good size. It’s peaceful and exudes chilled...

'Paradijs op aarde. Een prachtlocatie afgesloten van de bewoonde wereld. Eigen privé strand. Kleinschalig gevoel met elk een eigen huisje en terras. Prachtig snorkelen met o.a. schildpadden, roggen, tropische vissen. Eten in restaurant wel aan de prijzige kant. Personeel is uiterst vriendelijk. Voor ons hebben ze heel veel geregeld mbt vlucht omboeken en reis naar KL door Corona. Top'

It is located on top of a low cliff overlooking the marine park and the island harbour. The resort offers a good range of boat trips and other modestly priced activities and transport facilities.
