'This was an overnight stay at the end of walking the Tora Coastal walk, before a long drive back to Hamilton. The room was comfortable and very clean. Good supply of crockery, etc., and unit had everything we needed to cook breakfast. Nice view across the road to the harbour.'

'Although somewhat dated, the property was good and had all the necessary facilities. It was a shame that the kitchen was dirty and needed a good clean. Otherwise the property would have been great. 'A delightful experience from check in to check out. The room was quite spacious and had every convenience needed from microwave to mini refrigerator to stove top and all of the kitchenware needed to make meal or heat up a snack. One will not be disappointed at any aspect of this small lodge in a nice neighborhood of Lower Hutt.'

'Beautiful room with easy contactless check in. Right by the bus routes and main shopping and dining areas. Lovely fixtures and tastefully decorated. Bathroom was spacious. Kitchenette was adequate. Lovely tea selection and thoughtful free snacks. No coffee though but great cafes all around the corner. Room can be a bit noisy at night with bars downstairs. '

'One of the best hostels I've ever stayed in! The bathrooms are so cute, with blue tiles on the walls and copper pipes that make it look antique. Lots of privacy with curtains at your own bed, your own reading light and outlets. The hostel workers are fantastic. They host daily activities or meals. The night I stayed they made a full dinner for everyone. I would absolutely come back to this hostel'

All details are right, and the location (quiet part of the city close to the airport and with fabulous sea view) is top-notch.
