'This motel was very quiet and peaceful – that's a big deal for me. It's within short walking distance of the main shopping area in Taradale, which has many bakeries, cafes, bars and restaurants. The staff of the motel were very friendly and they gave us a free upgrade to a two-roomed unit – that was VERY kind – it blew us away.'

'We loved this little oasis. The owners have done an amazing job of creating a special place that has everything you need. We were driving from Taupo to Napier and stopped for the night. They have lawn tennis, a full spa, swimming pool and an amazing restaurant not to be missed. Don’t bother going back into Napier for dinner. Stay here. They have an incredible wine selection and it’s been one of the highlights of the trip so far. '

Heat pump provided the heating we needed when cold overnight and in the morning. Need to move a few things around to make space for making breakfast, however is workable. :-) '
