'Probably the best hotel I ever been to, everything was perfect'

'Disappointing and Overpriced We stayed three nights and were very disappointed. Access requires driving at least 2 km on a poorly maintained, extremely dusty gravel road. Parking is at the top of a steep hill, making access difficult. The small unloading area near the rooms was often occupied by vehicles apparently belonging to the owner or staff. Even then, hauling luggage over severely uneven stones was challenging. Check-in was particularly frustrating. Despite booking a specific arrival...

'Beautiful structure in typical local style. Very friendly staff and always ready to answer your questions with a smile. The food at the restaurant is good but not at the highest level you can experience in the area. We enjoyed the location a lot being very close to Pienza and Montelpulciano. Unfortunately the rooms are quite close to the main road and it can get noisy early in the morning. The view on Pienza is simply marvellous as well as the country road to Monticchiello.'

'Our stay at Vento d’Orcia was one of the highlights of our trip through Italy. The property is beautiful and full of authentic Tuscan character, surrounded by incredible views of the Val d’Orcia countryside. It is peaceful, quiet, and exactly the kind of place we hoped to experience while staying in Tuscany. Our room was exceptionally clean, fresh, and very well maintained. Everything felt updated while still preserving the character of the property. The entire property, inside and outside, was...

'I was looking forward to this property and its modem design elements. Unfortunately the road to get there was not paved and we had a 5 minute bumpy ride over rough terrain. Luckily we had a rental car. I would never put my car through that. This was an issue as going to orvietto and back we had to worry about the road. The room was also a bit uncomfortable as we had to climb up 20 steps to get from its door up to the bedroom. The breakfast was nice and the grounds were relaxing'

'Clean room and friendly staff at breakfast. Breakfast was good'
