'This place was so nice, clean and quiet. Just what I was looking for. It has been updated with all the latest things and even has a coffee maker and kettle for your use at any time during your stay in a shared hallway. I had a little balcony that I got to watch the sunset every nice which was lovely. Even better was the host as she helped me with some of my needs that I asked her for. I feel she went way above what she had to for me. I would stay here again if I were to visit Follonica again. '

On arrival, don’t follow map directions from app: they took us to train station (Casale Etrusco, to use name of establishment, is located at beginning of Via della Badia, just north of Donoratico, at km 266.15 on Vecchia Aurelia). No response on mobile number provided. Apartment clean but could be freshened up. Good wardrobe space in main bedroom. 'B&B Alex heeft heeft een vriendelijke service en goed ontbijt. De tuin is wat onderkomen en zou aandacht mogen hebben. De kamers zijn schoon maar het meubilair is wat eenvoudiger en gedateerd. De Badkamer is klein. Je kunt zittend op de wc je tanden poetsen boven de wasbak. Airco werkte prima. De ligging is goed vlakbij het strand. Voldoende parkeergelegenheid op eigen terrein. '

'An amazing building, a modern renovation respectful of its past. Patricia was a patient and attentive host who went out of her way to please. You need to be fit to climb the stairs but it’s all part of sharing in the heritage of this building/school/home. The town is small and has the characteristic steep lanes. We’d recommend finding a spot the locals gather and getting to know a bit about life from their perspective. We’ll be recommending this one to our friends. '

"hotel is niet recent maar wel proper. mooi rustig zwembad enkel voor volwassenen. kamer is ok zonder overvloedige luxe. op het terrasje krioelde het wel van de mieren en dat komt natuurlijk binnen in de kamer. voor ons was het restaurant qua eten echt ondermaats. veel te weinig keuze voor zo'n hotel, totaal geen afkruiding en geen 4*hotel waardig, drank in heel het resort peperduur. gelukkig een winkel in nabijheid van hotel.heel vriendelijk personeel. zeker een pluspunt voor de gratis ter beschikkingstelling van hele grote parking."
