'We zijn er 3 nachten geweest. Prachtige locatie, mooie omgeving. Uiterst vriendelijke, servicegerichte mevrouw aan de receptie. De netheid liet wel te wensen over. Lichtknopjes en deuren die plakten als je ze aanraakte. De vriendelijkheid van de dames die het ontbijt verzorgden liet echt te wensen over. Indien je een tafel wilde die uitkeek op de tuin en die alleen nog even afgeruimd en ingedekt moest worden, werd er gezegd dat de tafel die klaar stond en uitkeek op de zaal toch ook goed...

'We had a very enjoyable 3 night stay at the Crown Inn. All of the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Our room was on the small side but it was well equipped and very clean, with a comfy bed too. The ensuite was perfect. We ate ate the Inn and all our meals were good and tasty, especially the breakfast with a good range of options. '

'Booked just one night as a last minute getaway. Stayed in the Penthouse which has a large blacony with spectacular views of the surrounding countryside. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom great. The beams are low at the edges of the room but we are both tall and managed to avoid them :) I would highly recommend this place and will be staying here again in the future.'

'The staff here are friendly, welcoming and very knowledgable about the area. Check in was smooth, lovely big room with hot tub, gorgeous breakfast, comfy bed to name but a few positives. The only slight negative and I emphasis slight - room 2 ground floor can get quite noisy outside due to customers coming and going for breakfast. However this would not put me off and would definitely return. Parking limited.'

'Just had a really enjoyable stay at The Horse and Farrier in Threlkeld. The staff are excellent and go above and beyond to make your stay memorable. The accomodation was excellent, very clean and tidy with great views. The food for both breakfast and evening meal was truly delicious and the selection of real ales was top notch. Easy to walk into Keswick along the wagonway or get the bus from right outside. Would totally recommend.'

'Fabulous hotel in the middle of Ambleside. Staff were all amazing ... fantastic customer service from everyone we encountered. Room was comfortable, beautifully decorated, and very clean and quiet. Plenty of free parking available on site. Public areas were expansive, relaxing and once again very well presented. We really enjoyed our stay and are already planning a return trip for a longer period. We would absolutely recommend this hotel to all.'
