"The floating boat house is in a wonderful location and has everything you need for a peaceful get away on beautiful Norris lake. The owners do a wonderful job decorating and providing a kitchen with everything you need to prepare meals during your stay. Very clean and comfortable. We rented a pontoon from Straight Creek Marina and they were very nice and accommodating as well. We absolutely loved our time at “Our Happy Place”"

"Many issues stated in previous reviews are unresolved. Smoke alarms are missing, expired fire extinguisher, poor quality cookware, substandard furniture. The bunk bed in the basement is unusable for two people because it is not sturdy. The gas grill caught on fire because of all the residual grease and the grease tray ended up dropping out of the grill due to its poor condition. "The property was clean and comfortable and an overall good value. But where do you hang your towels between uses? There were no towel racks, bars, or hooks in any of the bathrooms. There was also no soap, shampoo, or conditioner in two of the three bathrooms (and no conditioner in the third). Had this been communicated in advance, it would have been less of an issue."

"We were interested in a lake weekend at Norris Lake. This property is right on the water, and it also has a dock that you can use. We brought our own kayaks, paddle boards, and JetSki, so that was very convenient. The lodging itself is a unit above a large, three car garage. Very nice inside with everything that you need. It is one big space though, so think about that if you need separate rooms, bedrooms, etc. It is great for a couple. The host is very nice and responsive. Good information...

"The house was beautiful and property was very private, this was the perfect place for a relaxing getaway.
