'Hotel zeer centraal gelegen. Prima Spa en ook het ontbijt is zeer goed. Vriendelijk personeel aan de balie. De housekeeping en hierdoor de hygiëne van het hotel, was waardeloos. Aan de receptie moeten vragen of er überhaupt iemand tijd had om onze kamer schoon te maken en schone handdoeken te brengen. Water koker op de kamer was kapot en hierdoor geen mogelijkheid om koffie/thee te zetten. Verschillende keren aangegeven aan de receptie zonder goede afloop. Douche bij zowel de sauna als gym erg...

In front of the hotel, there are several buildings that are falling apart, which makes the view from the windows quite unpleasant. 'We had a truly exceptional stay at Villa Flavia. The hotel was in a superb location, with a very friendly and helpful staff, and wonderful accommodations. The rooms were clean and modern, beds were very comfortable, and breakfast was plentiful. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Plovdiv and would choose it every time ! 'This is the most beautiful old hotel right in the old city. I had a little trouble finding it as you have to pass through the barriers to get access to the old city. Looking at Google maps, I mistakenly thought access was on the main road. Hristo, the owner, had registered my car details so I was waved through the barrier with no problem. I arrived 15 minutes after the receptionist was supposed to leave but she waited for me. They've gone to a lot of effort to reflect the character of the old...

'Fantastische locatie. Aardige mensen en zeer vriendelijk. Ik begrijp dat als je de deur opent en sluit voor elke gast gedurende de nacht dat je zonder goede slaap nukkig kan worden. Ik zou als eigenaar daar een ander slot voor verzinnen. Dit gaat echter niet zonder speciale vergunning omdat het gehele pand een beschermd pand is onder Unesco, lokale en nationale overheid. De kamers zijn uniek en bijzonder om die reden en voldoen volledig aan de moderne vereisten.'
