Nestled between the sea and the salt marshes, this vacation rental is situated in a unique and pleasant setting just a short walk from the beautiful, unspoiled beaches of the Mediterranean, in the heart of the Narbonnaise Regional Nature Park. During your stay, you’ll be able to observe the local flora and fauna up close and fully enjoy a variety of contrasting landscapes typical of the Mediterranean coastline (old salt flats, beaches, and a rocky limestone island), home to exceptional biodiversity. There are beautiful walks to take around the cottage where you can enjoy this daily spectacle (Île Sainte-Lucie and the large, wild beach of La Vieille-Nouvelle are near the cottage). The region offers many hidden gems to discover: the Sigean African Wildlife Reserve, the Leucate Cliffs, and Roman-era Narbonne with its remarkable heritage and culinary highlights (the market halls, the grand buffets). The Cathar castles are also within easy reach. Spain is less than an hour away. Port-la-Nouvelle has plenty of shops: supermarkets, grocery stores, bakeries, restaurants, and the market… Everything you need for a peaceful vacation. On-site, the vacation rental is situated in a quiet setting on a property that also includes the owners’ home and another vacation rental. Each home offers complete privacy, allowing you to enjoy the tranquility of the surroundings. The house features a private terrace with patio furniture and a barbecue, offering views of the surrounding countryside. Private, secure parking is available on the property. The single-story, air-conditioned cottage features several rooms: - A living room with a dining table, a sofa, a TV, and a fully equipped open kitchen. - A furnished veranda. - A separate bathroom (shower, sink, and toilet). - A first bedroom with a 160-cm bed. - A second bedroom with two 90-cm beds that can be pushed together.
