Chique appartement met 1 slaapkamer in de kunstwijk van Portland

Dit prachtig ingerichte appartement met 4 slaapkamers voor 4 personen ligt op de eerste verdieping van een historisch gebouw uit 1880. Volledig gerenoveerd, maar de charme van originele hardhouten vloeren en een ruime keuken en woonkamer.
De keuken is gerenoveerd met roestvrijstalen apparaten en tegelvloer. Badkamer heeft tegelvloer en een gloednieuwe betegelde douche. Wi-Fi en kabeltelevisie. Er is een charmante buitenruimte met een zithoek om te ontspannen en te genieten van een glas wijn of een kopje koffie.
Wij zijn gevestigd binnen enkele minuten naar Portland Art Museum, talloze restaurants van alle soorten, musea, verschillende prachtige muzieklocaties en het centrum van Congress Street. We zijn op loopafstand van Hadlock Field, de thuisbasis van de Portland SeaDogs,
 en het oude havendistrict, bekend om zijn chique winkels en eetgelegenheden. We zijn op 5 minuten lopen van Deering Oaks Park waar elke zaterdag een fantastische boerenmarkt plaatsvindt. We zijn ook dicht bij Casco Bay Lines, waar veerboten beschikbaar zijn om de eilanden te hoppen! Dicht bij de stranden, Portland International Jetport, Concord Trailways en Amtrak Downeaster.

What a wonderful little spot!

Sue and Barry were so accommodating, we have never been treated so well staying at a VRBO. They showed us local spots, told us great places for food and drinks, extremely kind and knowledgeable of the area. Couldn’t recommend them enough!

Good Location

Hosts were very gracious. Lodging was clean and well stocked for everyday needs. Nice having your own parking spot close by. Easy access to freeways. 20 minute walk to town thru grand old houses. Make sure you take the Lighthouse Tour at the port.

Sue met us when we checked in, got us acquainted with the apartment, and showed us a map of Portland so we knew where we were in relation to restaurants etc. The apartment was great for a long weekend stay in Portland. We loved staying at this property. Two friends exploring Portland. It was the perfect size space. Sue met us on arrival and gave us a tour of the apartment and then oriented us to the city. She was friendly and kind. We could text and ask questions as needed. The queen bed and the sofa bed were very comfortable. Spacious closets, coffee and air conditioned. We would stay here again in a minute. The location is perfect for the city. We always felt safe and walked everywhere.

Sue and Barry's place on Avon is amazing. It includes parking, in a walkable area in proximity to restaurants, breweries and shops. Sue and Barry are excellent hosts. When we arrived, Sue and Barry gave us recommendations and treats! Truly wonderful hosts that care about their guests. The apartment is clean, the bed is very comfortable, the kitchen is roomy and the living room is delightful. My husbands birthday getaway!

We had an amazing time exploring Portland! Our hosts were amazing and attentive. They greeted us at check in with fresh flowers and suggestions on places to visit! The house was clean and located perfectly where we could walk around the city. The neighborhood was quiet. We felt safe walking at night. We had a short stay in Portland but we packed in as much as we could. Breakfast at Bayside American Cafe is a MUST! The best Eggs Benedict and Bloody Mary I’ve ever had! We stopped in at Taco Escobarr for happy hour and it was a blast! The strawberry jalapeño infused margarita was 👌 again, the best I’ve had! Then had dinner at High Roller. All fantastic!

Cozy and convenient

The roomy 1-bedroom apartment in a great location met all of our needs. Sue greeted us upon arrival and provided lots of information about Portland that helped us structure our trip and make optimal use of our 2.5 days there. The apartment was very clean and had all the “extras” that made it feel like home. Parking was convenient (we had our own space across the street) and although having a car was great for out of town trips, the neighborhood was walkable and conveniently located to a variety of activities. We would definitely stay here again if we get a chance to travel to Portland in the future.
