The hotel itself is a good value for the money, but the check-in person was rude and not nice. She wasput out just being there. Based on her attitude, I’d never stay there again. Why do businesses hire rude people to be the only human you come in contact with?

Tucked into the edge of a neighborhood, good space to walk pets around the property. Was disappointed about noise level after 11 pm… staff in kitchen kept radio on so it could be heard by neighboring rooms, loud conversations in the hallway and the exit doors were propped open so every time someone entered the building the clank of the door closing would be very audible. Even after talking with kitchen staff in hall the noise continued… couldn’t sleep. I would recommend closing kitchen doors when preparing breakfast and would do prep closer to a normal breakfast time (5am) instead of 11-3…eliminating the noise altogether. Also would close the exit doors.

During my recent booking with Comfort Inn & Suites Tigard near Washington Square, I encountered an issue with the billing process. Despite not agreeing upon the cost of my stay with the reception, my card was charged $200. Additionally, I never signed a contract or received keys from the hotel and had to book elsewhere. The receptionist, understandably overwhelmed with customers, inadvertently charged me. However, they assured me that the costs would be refunded immediately or within my bank's standards. I didnt even stay here. I tried canceling 5 minutes after placing the booking. Even purchased the protection plan. To be denied a refund. The crooks stole from me that i cant afford.

Loud, loud, loud. This hotel has absolutely no sound insulation. When the people above you walk, you hear it. When the people in the next room talk, you hear it. When a dog half across the hotel barks for hours, your hear it. The mattress was also a lumpy mess.

Broken down abandoned cars taking up spaces in the tiny parking lot which already has limited parking. Dog poop everywhere around the property. The breakfast was good and the staff were fantastic.

The property is away from highways so exterior noise is minimal. I have 2 complaints; firstly, Upon checking in I advised the clerk that we have a dog, whereupon, she charged me an extra $20 for the dog AND an extra $20 to clean the carpet because it wasn’t a “dog friendly” room! So why not give me a “dog friendly room” to start with? The carpet in the room had serious issues never mind a light cleaning! At 11:30PM I am awakened by a noisy conversation in the lobby, as the lobby and hallway are hard surface the conversation this echoes right down the hall and into the rooms. As I poke my head out the door to request some quiet my dog escapes causing more of a ruckus. Where was the night clerk to take care of the problem before a guest has to request peace, or, was he/she part of the problem?

First on the pet fee policy, we have a limited number of rooms that are pet friendly without additional charge, these rooms are indicated on the websites. I was charged an extra $100 when checking in. That was not told to me when I called to find out the check in time. Also, I had already paid for the room. Our room, #107 I was told was an ADA (American Disabilities) Association approved room. The only thing ADA about it was the bathroom. The only disabled parking spot was like three spots over from the door. We were there because it was recommended to us and he'd just had eye surgery on his right eye, so we had to go back for a post op the following day. We'll not be staying there again. I may file a suit or claim against them, as my dad was injured during our stay there. There was an unneeded shelf that was at his head level and he hit the right side of his head multiple times there during our stay. There was barely any room for his wheelchair to get around. It couldn't be turned. There was internet and a chair, however, I had to work from the bathroom counter, as there was no desk area. During the night there was a loud and out of sorts guest and the conversation with what sounded like an EMT or Police officer went on for at least an hour. In the morning, My dad and I tried to explain how that couldn't be an ADA approved room and how my dad was hurt and the person at the desk just told us it was the contractors before them and that it was an ADA approved room. He didn't even care that my dad was hurt. Currently, almost a week after my dad's eye surgery to better his sight, he can only see a light, not images.

I would stay here again. The price was good. The complimentary breakfast was good, not as good as I've had at other places but still good. The clunk the elevator makes when the door opens is concerning but I don't think it's a safety issue. The room was clean and tidy and the staff was wonderful! Very convenient access right off of the 217.

Unsafe and unclean. I went inside to check in a little early but wasn't able to do so due to the low staff and rooms still not clean. Underandable and not a problem; i knew i was a little early before scheduled check-in. Receptionist was rude, it was cold in the lobby, the parking lot was dirty with several cars that had questionable occupants. The buidling itself looked rundown. After i was told i couldnt check-in, i considered that a sign and i went a mile up the road and stayed at the Embassy. I lost about $120 for the night, but me and my kids feel safer at the Embassy and i feel like i dont have to wake up every 10 minutes to check on my car.

3 star Hotel with 5 star staffing
The staff were so great and friendly and welcoming. It's an older hotel so there were some cosmetic faults. The breakfast was a pretty good standard hotel buffet, but the staff worked really hard to keep the area clean and the buffet stocked. The location is great - a safe neighborhood and very close to shopping and restaurants. A great bargain place to stay.

We found bed bugs and notified them immediately within 30 minutes of being in our room. The manager told us we would get a refund and then went back on their word. Please check your beds!

We had to pay an additional $100 deposit upon arrival, there is no tub in the bathroom, shower only, and the walls are pretty thin so it was pretty noisy and we never were able to make the tv work. I would have expected better for the price.

They either do not have or do not enforce a rule that you can’t leave dogs alone in the rooms. There were at least 10-15 dogs staying there and the ones next to us were alone and barking incessantly until their people returned at 1a. They set off other dogs too… it was liking sleeping in a dog pound. The showers are really nice. We skipped breakfast because of all the dogs in the dining area. We are not anti-dog… but do believe dog owners need to be responsible.
