We are so glad you had a nice stay, Cathy. You’re certainly right about the stairs! Our listing photos depict this well . It’s a 3-story home when you include the rooftop deck! We do get a visit from the sugar ants every year around this time, as do the majority of homes (including mine!) in the area. Not a cleanliness issue and hopefully not too troublesome to have seasonal visitors, at times. Every year we caulk up openings and treat the perimeter of the house with a natural, non-toxic deterrent. I’m glad you also found the ant traps we have and used those. We are so glad you enjoyed our home! Rachel, our housekeeper, does live in the attached garage as noted in our listing description. She has no access to the home though, through the hallway door. It’s locked from both sides for her and your peace of mind and protection :) Her only access is via the front door with her own unique code, to clean before or after. As for noise - please don’t modify yourselves! She actually has said she loves the sound of little souls in the home, it brings her happiness. She has been with us for 10 years and certainly wouldn’t be there still if she was upset by guests enjoying themselves! Rachels super power is being seen only if you need her, otherwise she’s unseen and happy to have you there, enjoying Portland and the home she helps maintain so beautifully.
