Better every time!
This was our 5th time at this rental. We love everything about it, from the fantastic owner communication to the location to the rental itself. There is nothing we’d change! This trip Lorie recommended a neighborhood roller skating rink and we loved it. The zoo, Powell’s, Grand Central Bakery and Cloud Cap Games are still family favorites as well. And getting a 13yr old girl and 15yr old boy to agree on vacation activities can be a challenge. But never on our Portland trips!! Looking forward to making it a 6th time next February.

The neighborhood is amazing with tons of local flavor! Preparation is well thought out for this unit. The kitchen is set up nicely for a short visit, and the separate shower room is super convenient when sharing the unit. Owner is accommodating, and the unit is clean!

Sometimes everything works and stay is perfect!
We had a great experience at this location. Wonderful location. We are retired chefs, found this place to have incredibly clean kitchen, loaded with spices and appliances. Kitchen is immaculate and owner checked in to make sure we were happy. We were over the moon happy. The apt. was quiet and clean. Will stay there in the future when we can.

This is such a great apartment. All ground level, two very comfortable big beds, a roomy & divided bathroom/shower area with 2 sinks, large kitchen with cozy barstool area and bigger dining table, two couches, cute side patio, easy cooking kitchen. Nicely decorated. We enjoyed walking around Sellwood for tea, lunch, & groceries. Shopping, too. A house a few blocks away has front-yard goats! A 10 minute drive to Reed College that's in a beautiful neighborhood. Close enough to enjoy a drive to Powell's Books and shopping downtown on the way to the airport. Would love to return! Thank you to our helpful hosts.

Better every time!!
This was our 4th stay here and we can’t say enough how much we love it! The unit itself is adorable, super clean and has everything you’d need and then some. The owner is friendly and helpful. The neighborhood is our favorite in Portland. From the delicious food at Grand Central Bakery to the amazing games and puzzle store (Cloud Cap Games), we only drive when making the quick trip to Oregon Zoo or downtown for Powells Books. Otherwise, the neighborhood has everything you need for a fun and relaxing stay. Can’t wait till our 5th trip!!

Clean, private, stocked with necessities
We had a delightful stay. Because of the lower level, with adequate windows, it’s very private and quiet. The beds are extremely comfortable and much thought has gone in to providing all the basics for cooking, toiletries, comfort etc. Fox 12 is the go to tv station as the others are mostly infomercials so, if you’re a news junky, bring your tablet for streaming.

Great property
Property as described and pictured. Owner is a jewel. Walkable to many restaurants, bakeries, bars, and coffee shops. I thought the on-street parking would be a problem; it was not. Never had to park more than a hundred feet away, and usually right in front. Walked the neighborhood and always felt safe. Kitchen is roomy and well stocked. Appliances are relatively new and work well. You can eat every meal out, but a most adequate place for cooking you own meals. Noise not an issue. Already have our next booking here.

Adorable little place! Great location! We enjoyed exploring the Sellwood neighborhood. It’s full of beautiful old houses and giant trees. Great dining options and a fun board game store! The apartment is nice and private and the beds are comfy.

This unit was clean, comfortable and spacious. More then adequate for 2 adults. The kitchen was good sized and we had everything we needed. Great location - the Sellwood area is very walkable to stores, restaurants, and parks. Spring is a great time to enjoy the neighborhood gardens. I highly recommend it.

Perfect for mom’s bucket list trip.
My 85 year old mother had only 8 states to visit, one being Portland. She also wanted to do a long train trip. So Amtrak delivered us from LA and we picked this home for our 3 days of exploring. It is so very comfortable and the neighborhood is so fun. The separated bathroom is so perfect! The nearby coffee shops and food cart pods provide for some pretty awesome eats. Perfectly clean, private and spacious. The location can’t be beat if you plan to visit both downtown Portland and the Williamette Valley. Would absolutely stay again.

Enjoyed our stay! It was very nice, quiet and clean. The only recommendation would be an air freshener to help get rid of the musty smell upon arriving and a few extra pillows in the bedroom. I missed my body pillow from home.

We're so glad you enjoyed your stay. And especially thanks for the feedback - we love incorporating guest ideas and experiences to make our place more comfortable. We added more sleeping pillows (but no body pillow 😉.) As for the odor, once we know about it, we eliminate the source. Musty smells are a big deal to us. In this case, it was a simple cleaning of the kitchen drain. We cleaned all drains for good measure and put them on a more frequent preventative maintenance schedule. Better than last time!
This was our second stay here and we can’t say enough how much we enjoy the neighborhood, the rental itself and the great family who live above. They truly make you feel like family! There’s no need to drive as Sellwood has it all. But if you want to venture further, it takes less than 15-20 minutes to get to the Oregon Zoo or Powell’s Books (our 2 favorite Portland stops). The kids spent our drive home trying to convince me we should go back again before next years annual adventure! Looking forward to it already :)

The prior reviews indicate that this is a cool spot in a great part of Sellwood-Moreland . We reiterate the positive reviews and offer this as well . The unit feels brand new , kitchen well appointed , great shower , the all very clean . Lighting is exceptional and a nice secure feeling when sleeping . Shopping of all sorts two blocks away . Stay away from the bagel place ( if you go once / you will be back 😉)

Cute, clean and quiet apartment in a pretty neighborhood -- perfect for walking to nearby shops, restaurants and parks (Sellwood Park & Oaks Bottom). Comfortable beds and excellent parking! Sellwood is a wonderful neighborhood, a safe and well-kept residential area with plenty of conveniences. A 1/2 hour from the airport and easy highway access to explore the coast, wine country, central region and gorge. I would recommend this place as a solid base for anyone visiting Portland.

Super location and clean!
There were 3 staying but our son and his girlfriend came over to eat and visit. Plenty of room and great kitchen space. Nice layout with toilet and sink in one room,, shower and sink along with washer dryer in another private room and yet another full length mirror where my daughter did her makeup/hair everyday. Only complaint would be very soft, overused mattress in bedroom near bathroom. Other mattress was wonderful. Very comfortable. Plenty of nearby restaurants, bars, coffee shops within several blocks!

Lovely apartment in an exceptional neighborhood
We had a wonderful time in this beautiful apartment in the Sellwood neighborhood in Portland. The space was clean, bright, and comfortable and the neighborhood was friendly, walkable and had an wide selection of restaurants. We loved our quiet respite from busy Portland. Sellwood is a cute neighborhood with a great natural foods grocery and restaurants. The apartment was perfect for our family and for my daily commute to Lewis and Clark College. It has everything you need and nothing that you don't--clean and no clutter. I would definitely stay there again if I came to Portland.

This property is in a very nice, quiet community with a great selection of shopping and restaurants nearby. The apartment itself is beautifully decorated and maintained. Beds were soft and so comfortable. Pretty much anything you would need in a kitchen was available. It was so convenient to have great laundry facilities right in the apartment.The owner was so nice! She greeted us when we arrived and was so helpful to us when we needed to request the use of an iron. The only thing i would add for those with small children is that the shower does not have a spray wand so it was a little more effort to bathe the kids (there is no tub but we didn't mind that... the shower is large and very nice). But other than that small thing..We had a wonderful time and will definitely want to stay again. Thanks Lorie for having us and I hope we can come again!!!

A fabulous garden apartment indeed. Everything we needed and more. Beautifully layed out.
Peaceful and spotless. So easy to make ourselves at home from the moment we arrived. I’ll start with the bedroom. I loved the closet space in the bedrooms as they became a dressing room and a space to get ready. They are decorated with a mirror, shelf space, hangers and a light. Having the shower separate from the bathroom was very convenient for us. The washer and dryer, although not used much, is great to have available. Moving towards the front of the apartment where the entrance is located is an understated living room. Very spacious for a small space with plenty of comfortable seating and a table for dining. The kitchen was our favorite with everything we needed to prepare our meals after shopping at Trader Joe’s and the local market Nu Seasons. Our favorite spot was the patio just before entering. We spent quality time catching up in this peaceful space. The neighborhood was fabulous. We walked the streets admiring the homes and foliage and visited 13th ave for shopping and dining. Thank you for returning and we look forward to your next visit to Portland. You were very gracious about the plumbing issue. You were great people people to go through this with. It was definitely not minor, but it did give me renewed appreciation for this city. (There was a collapsed sewer pipe on the city's portion of the sewer. The city remedied the problem immediately, but there were a few hours of MAJOR inconvenience for us and our guests. The good news is that we have completely new sewer lines!)
