We highly recommend the Fontinha hotel. Very friendly and accommodating staff, modern rooms and good facilities. The restaurant serves a proper breakfast and the dining options are good too. Especially the pizza's surprised us.

Wat een heerlijk hotel! Modern, mooi design, brandschoon en splinternieuw. Het personeel was enorm vriendelijk, het bed fijn, de douche lekker en het ontbijt heerlijk. Echt een aanrader! Special touches: een glaasje Port als ontvangst, een mooie tuin met terras (waar we pas later achter kwamen, maar het was toch wat te fris) en elke dag een flesje water op de kamer. Het enige eventuele minpunt aan het hotel is dat het een minuut of 10 lopen is naar het centrum: heen de berg af, terug de berg op. Wij vonden het ook niet erg om te lopen, lekker even een frisse neus halen na het eten. Één avond hadden we geen zin om te lopen en namen we een uber voor €3,50. Op zondagavond laat! Voor dat bedrag hoef je het dus niet te laten. Verbetertip voor het ontbijt: verse jus d’orange en gekookte eitjes. Maar overall: een dikke aanrader, wij komen hier zeker terug.

Geweldig verblijf! Ik kwam vroeger aan dan mijn check-in tijd en werd fantastisch geholpen door het personeel. Ik mocht mijn koffer opbergen en werd gebeld toen mijn kamer klaar was. Bij aankomst kreeg ik een upgrade naar een suite! Het ontbijt was lekker en prima assortiment. Wel een kleine ontbijtzaal voor het aantal personen dat in het hotel verblijft. Het hotel is centraal gelegen maar vlak buiten de drukte. Je bent met een wandeling van 10 minuten bij alle winkels. Heerlijk hotel en zeker voor herhaling vatbaar! Complimenten aan het personeel: onwijs vriendelijk en service gericht! Ik kom zeker terug!

We had an amazing stay at Fontinha Porto. The front desk staff were amazing, special shout out to Rogerio for being so welcoming and helpful. He and the other staff went above and beyond in making it a very special stay for us. We were there during my birthday, and the staff made a note of this and not only did they leave a bottle of champagne and card in the room but also remembered to wish me happy birthday in person when we walked by the front desk. The room was super comfortable, nice, and extremely clean, and the entire hotel had a very friendly atmosphere. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Nice smaller hotel with attentive staff. Whole place was very clean. Breakfast had a good variety of options in the cosy restaurant. King room was quite small, though, and dark - the bathroom needs better lighting.

This hotel was great. It was a 15 minute walk to Sao Bento station and by Porto standards it was a fairly flat walk into the city centre. The rooms were lovely, really stylish with a great shower. The breakfast is also good with an excellent choice of food

Delightful stay at this lovely hotel. The place felt like home away from home. From the staff, the little cute restaurant the amenities. The art, and cute signs were an added element to this gem of a place. Enjoyed the little garden and spaces around the hotel. The room was larger than most other places we’ve stayed in Europe. Would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a good place to stay in Porto.

What a gem, the interior is lovely, so comfortable and the room was amazing. They have an outdoor terrace which would be lovely in the warmer weather. The hotel is within walking distance to the main attractions, the road seems very busy but you don’t notice that once you are inside. Loved it, thanks for such a great stay!

We enjoyed our visit to Porto very much and part of it was our staying at the Fontinha Hotel. The staff was very helpful and polite. The room very nice and the Wi-Fi excellent, which is rare for a hotel. The fact that you can have your dinner and your drinks there also very convenient!

Vi havde en fantastisk tur til dette hotel, personalet var så så søde! Vi havde vores baby med på 4 måneder, og hotellet havde sat en bedside seng op til ham, hvilket var så positiv en overraskelse! :-) morgen buffeten var super lækker, med virkelig gode Pastel de nata! Derudover var rummene super lækre, og man har sin egen espresso maskine på værelset - wauw! Generelt et super lækkert ophold. Rengøringen var ikke perfekt, men det var også den mindste detajle som giver stedet et 4/5 stjerner.

They were great!
The staff was very helpful and kind. We had a very bad experience at the first hotel we booked and so turned to Fontinha in hopes of rescuing our first trip to Porto. They did just that and we ended up enjoying our time in their great city. Thank you!

Staff is very pleasant, professional, and accommodating. Check-in process is very welcoming. Inside the hotel is clean and rooms are new either convenient, modern amenities. The only advice is for those who can’t walk intermediate distances, they may have to catch a taxi uphill because the immediate surrounding area is just a tad bit separated from the city center, and it can feel a little isolated (with a few abandoned-looking buildings around). Other than that, the hotel itself is excellent. My room was a bit small, with no space for a chair to sit in, but they have a great dining area downstairs and on the patio, so I ate my meals out there instead of in the room.
