Great location. We were on the fourth floor with a terrace and the view was the best. Sitting out there with a glass of wine watching the gulls ride the wind currents with the beautiful landscape behind, was mesmerizing, We spent more time there than anywhere else when we were "home". The place was generally pretty clean when we got there. But not nice hotel clean. There were some cig butts in the gutter off of the terrace which was kind of a put off. You could tell the place could use a little dusting. Not a huge deal, but these details are important when you come over 3,000 miles to stay in a place for over a week. The bathroom however, even though it was clean (except for the exhaust fan, which was caked with dust) had this odor like a sewer line had broken. It literally made us gag one day. We kept the door closed most of the time we were there. I guess that's kind of a biggie. We didn't mention it until the last day we were there since we were out and about enjoying the beautiful city most of the time. Also, management was not very prompt returning emails. All that being said, all these things can be easily fixed and should be because it's not especially cheap to stay here. Still, it's a cool place to stay. Great restaurants literally a few steps away from each side of the entrance, close to the river, close to markets and a great wine shop just across the street. Did I mention the location and the view?
