The manager was great, met us at the door and showed us straight to our room. The room was large with a four poster bed. The bed was really comfortable. I would stay there again, and would recomend it to friends'

The room was tidy and clean and we both had good night's sleeps even though the room was above the pub..I recommend Medi's Eggs Benedict which was fantastic and he also catered in the evening with great home made food - I had the best fish and chips I've had for many a year..I'd recommend the Sunday roast too which was awesome and over generous...and reasonably priced...

'I booked and paid for 3 nights this week. Before arriving, I called the landline at about 11:45 no answer. On arrival just before the 3 pm check-in time the place was shut, doors locked and curtains drawn. Called the mobile number several times and messaged the mobile to inform the person I was waiting to check in. At about 15:30 I had to check into ANOTHER hotel as I had meetings in Corbridge at 16:15. On returning to Hexham I noted the pub was open and I spoke to the manager about the issues I...

"It was a fine place just outside the Shotly Bride.
It was quiet but we had great geast a Swirl and in 14 days we show 3 times 1 ore two dears in front of the kitchen just 30 footsteps away.
The cottage is a good start for day trips there is a lot to see and do in the area.
