Prima hotel midden in het centrum.
Alles klopte deze vakantie, een goed, leuk en rustig hotel. Op loopafstand van het grote centrale plein met leuke restaurantjes en al het andere vertier👍

Perfecte locatie
Locatie perfect! Kamers zeer netjes. Weet niet hoe gebruikelijk het is dat je midden in de nacht om schone beddengoed vraagt, maar die had ik nodig. Dienstmeisje was niet aanwezig, de beveiliging kwam wel tien minuten later zelf nieuwe lakens brengen. Top! Deze hebben we zelf verwisseld, we vonden het niet zo gek dat er geen dienstmeisje aanwezig was. Of mag je dat wel verwachten van een 4 sterren hotel? Anyway. Wij zijn zeer tevreden!

Mooi hotel, modem ingericht, leuke kamer. Kamermeisjes dien hun werk perfect. Elke dag de kamer om door een ringetje te halen.

Perfect op Toplokatie!!
Perfect op Toplokatie!! ruime mooie kamer. Goed en veelzijdig ontbijt, evt minpuntje door de drukte niet altijd aangevuld. Lokatie kan niet beter, midden in het hart van de stad en toch dicht bij openbaar vervoer. DOEN!!

Uitstekende lokatie en een prima hotel
Lokatie kan bijna niet beter ... temidden van alle bezienswaardigheden en toch geen last van de toeristen en/of lawaai. Letterlijk een paar minuten lopen van de bekendste pleinen en gebouwen en de metro. Het eigen restaurant is goed maar er zijn ook talloze andere goede restaurants heel dichtbij. De service is geweldig ... niets is te veel voor de receptionistes. Ten slotte ... het ontbijtbuffet is fantastisch ... alles wat je wilt inclusief ter plaatse gemaakt omeletten naar keuze en zelfs mousserende wijn!

Super hotel midden in oude stad
Hotel was super! Grote mooie kamer, vriendelijk personeel. Hotel bevindt zich midden in oude stad maar wel zonder geluidsoverlast. Absolute aanrader. Als we toch iets moeten bedenken wat minder is, tja de flatscreen had wat groter gekund, maar waar gaat dit nog over. Dit hotel is gewoon een absolute aanrader, wat mij betreft een 10 plus!

Goed hotel in de oude stad van Praag
Het hotel ligt in de oude stad van Praag, op loopafstand van een aantal bezienswaardigheden. De astronomische klok is nog geen 10 minuten lopen. De Karelsbrug is een wandeling van ongeveer 15 minuten. Het dichtstbijzijnde metrostation is Namesti Republicky, dat op nog geen 5 minuten lopen van het hotel ligt (kies uitgang Palladium). Vanaf het vliegveld ben je in ongeveer 45-60 minuten in het hotel (eerst een bus en dan de metro). We hadden een deluxe kamer met douche. De kamer was qua grootte prima voor 2 personen. Koffie en theefaciliteiten op de kamer en ook een stoel om je koffer op te zetten. Wel een heel kleine flatscreen (afstand tussen bed en tv is te groot) en weinig aanbod aan zenders. Maar ja, wie wil er nou tv kijken als je in zo'n mooie stad als Praag bent. Groot voordeel is dat het hotel gratis wifi in de kamers aanbiedt. De verbinding is erg goed. Heel handig als je nog snel even op internet iets wilt opzoeken over een restaurant bijvoorbeeld. Ontbijt ook prima, lekkere verse broodjes, zoete hapjes, warme gerechtjes (de standaarddingen). Voor elk wat wils. Wij raden het diner het hotel niet aan. Het is redelijk prijzig en je kunt beter eten krijgen als je naar buiten gaat. In dezelfde straat als het hotel zit een goed Italiaans restaurant, waar je voor een redelijke prijs klasse Italiaanse gerechten kunt eten. Het restaurant heet Pasta Fresca. Het ziet er in eerste instantie leeg uit, maar als je voorbij de bar loopt, naar beneden het restaurant in, kom je in een gezellig en sfeervolle ruimte die helemaal vol zit met gasten. Restaurant is ook op tripadvisor hoog in de ranking. Wij waren bij toeval op het restaurant gestuit. Probeer ook het Pastacaffe op Vodickova. Daar is de pasta nog beter! Dichtbij het hotel zit ook een groot winkelcentrum (Palladium) met een aantal leuke winkels en bovenin een foodcourt met allerlei verschillende restaurantjes.

Excellent location!
The hotel is in an excellent location for visting Prague. I booked a Deluxe Room which looked clean and comfortable. I did mind the smell of smoke in the room even though I specifically requested non-smoking. Also, I did miss a bath, the bathroom was positively tiny for a Deluxe Room. The temperature in the room is really hard to set, it was either too hot or too cold. Staff was helpful if a little disorganized.

Barcelo Old Town Praha - excellent choice!
I strongly recommend this hotel to other travellers. The location is perfect: close to all the sights yet quietly located in a pedestrian area. The hotel has recently been refurbished which means everything is clean, modern, and in good working order. No smelly bedlinen or moldy showers here! The service in the hotel is good and the people are friendly. The only minor downside concerns the breakfast area, which is dark and filled with loud music (as much as I like Garbage, I don't care to hear this band out loud over an early morning breakfast...).

Does not allocate the room that was paid for
I reserved and paid for a suite. I was not given a suite, I was given a two bedroom duplex space, a king size bed on an upper floor and a set of twin beds below. Obviously a family space. There was no separate sofa/sitting area to watch TV /relax as you expect in a suite and as the hotel advertises on its own photographs of their suite rooms. Reception told me the room 403 I was allocated was classed as a suite. it definitely was not. Travelling as a couple, what use to us is an extra bedroom and extra bathroom? It was a two bedroom space for a family. Why Barcelo allocated it to me when my reservation was made weeks in advance for 2 adults only, I don't know. Did I pay less because I booked through Hotels.com? I paid full cancellation costs and I didn't use any hotel nights here. It was really a huge disappointment and huge waste of money for which the hotel simply shrugged their shoulders - tip: check the room being allocated if you pay the extra for a suite.

Prague city centre stay
The Barcelo Old Town was in a fantastic position with everything in the city walkable from the hotel. It is a modern city hotel with business meetings as well as guests. We didn't try the restaurant but the menu looked good. Staff were very helpful. Despite being in the centre of the city it was very quiet.

Fantastisk fint Hotel
Fantastisk fint Hotel med flott beliggenhet i enden av en av gå gantene ned til hoved torget med det astronomisk klokke. 5 min til hovedgaten for shopping Na Příkopě og Václavské náměstí. Renhold og service på hotellet var helt utmerket. Kommer gjerne igjen.

Hotel with prime position for sightseeing

Nice hotel in a great central location
Excellently located hotel right in the heart of the action but also surprisingly calm and quite once inside. The Junior suite my friend and I stayed in was very spacious with plenty of furniture on which to relax. Staff were pleasant and helpful throughout stay.

Fancy, but the two-level suite was not functional
This hotel was conveniently located in city center area. It was well appointed and upscale in furnishings. We had the two-floor suite style room. It was uncomfortably hot on the first night and the air conditioning didn't work. The hotel had no way to mitigate this problem and had no fans to offer us. There are also a few weird things about the layout -- like the only closet to hang things was downstairs away from the sleeping and dressing area. I'm not sure that I would opt for this room type in the future, as it was fancy but not functional.

The hotel was nice, good location. Room setup is a bit strange - bathroom and shower on opposite ends of the room. Toilet paper not so soft. No tissues. TV was a bit low and almost no english language channels, other than news. Would definitely recommend the hotel to friends.

Great Location You can walk to pretty much any where you need to be for sighting /shopping / dining. Walk around and shop around to compare price first for currency exchage and item purchases because you might get a better rate of everything right around the corner.

Lovely Hotel
This hotel was lovely with a great location in the Old Town. The staff were friendly and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble for them. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel to friends and family.

Ideale Lage zur Erkundung der Prager Altstadt
Das Hotel bietet einen tollen Mix von historischem Gebäude und modernen Ergänzungen. Die gesamte Technik wurde auf den aktuellen Stand gebracht ohne den Charme des historischen zu zerstören. Obwohl wir mitten im "Trubel" des Tourismus waren war es in unserem Zimmer angenehm leise.
