The water is crystal clear and the beach was very clean. There is a lot to do and see in the area. We enjoyed rock hunting, the bike trails, beach walks, lighthouse, ship wrecks and the quarry all within a short distance but most of all the quietness and the waves.'

'Everything was as advertised, beautiful home, plenty of sleeping arrangements. Location is perfect for an easy walk around downtown. Homeowners are very responsive and polite. Will definitely be coming back. Alpena is a surprisingly "big" small town with lots to offer for everyone.'

'This is an adorable cottage in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood. Excellent location, close to downtown and the beach. Perfect for us, with a fenced in yard for the fur baby. Nice amenities, including condiments, spices, coffee and tea provided in the renovated kitchen (loved the blue cabinets!). Our daughter lives in the area, so we will definitely be back.'

'Great access of the lake, we did not bting up machines. Walked about a mile out. Fishing was good. Great place to stay for a getaway. We really had a good time up there.'

'We had the best time on our four day vacation! This is a gorgeous house with a beautiful yard. We had everything we needed and could not have been more comfortable! I grew up on the east side of Grand Lake, so this was a different perspective for us - and we all loved it. The game room was great on the rainy day. We brought a kayak and SUP, made a bonfire at the lakeside and watched football on the big screen tv. It doesn't get any better than this!'
