'Had a nice one night stay in Salem. This place is very clean, smells amazing, molton brown toiletries which was a plus. Bed was comfortable, AC worked well, good shower pressure and really nice staff. Definitely would go back here. '

'What a unique stay! The free parking and breakfast was a bonus- but a really convenient one. The property is super walkable to all the things, but quiet and safe. The staff was really helpful and friendly. It was a nice historic property, it was a lucky find!'

'This historic hotel had a modern interior that did not disappoint. The fireplace in our room kept us cozy at night. Daily breakfast and sweet treats and warm cider in the afternoon were wonderful. The staff used texts to communicate with us to ensure we had everything we needed. As soon as you step out of the Merchants front door you are footsteps from restaurants, shops and local attractions. 10/10 recommend. I will definitely stay here again!'

'The Silsbee Suite was lovely! Its def just for 1 or 2 ppl even though the kitchen is huge there is only 1 queen bed and a couch. You also habe acess to your own private patio but we were out all day and didnt really utilize that. This property is in walkimg distance to everything you need to get to and see in Salem. It is an old house and you can hear EVERYTHING! Even the other guests if they sneeze or laugh so just be aware of that. I would def stay again '

'Room was clean, wish the restroom had a fan, but the bed was very comfortable. We appreciated the chocolate on the pillows and bottled waters. The staff was very friendly and the common area was also nice to have with a microwave, coffee machine and refrigerator to use. Parking is free after 8pm and Sundays so that was helpful with a Saturday night stay. Quicker to take an Uber to visit Salem in October! Would highly recommend. '

'The room was clean although it had a stale smell. Perhaps taking all the carpet up would help. The bar and all staff at the hotel were amazing. The food was very well presented. '

'Looks nice on the outside but old on the inside. You can not make use of the gym. We were not told at checkin so we were there in vain. This is to outdated and to expensive. '

'Super hotel. De kamer was heel comfortabel en het ontbijt absoluut heerlijk en gevarieerd. Het zwembad was wel aan de koude kant, vooral de 2e avond. De ligging van het hotel is prima. 15 min lopen naar het strand en naar het station. Vanaf dit station konden we rechtstreeks naar centrum Boston gaan. Ook handig in het hotel: de was- en droogmachines. '
