'When we arrived we wàs informed that the lift was out of order, the receptionist ( owner i think) was really helpful and shown us two different rooms to change to.the continental breakfast was free ,which was lovely. The hotel was in a great location for all the bars etc, shame about the street, lot of hotels abandoned but having said that well worth the money at the arncliffe and would definitely return. '

'The owner opened the door for me and she knew my name ! Couldn’t do more for me I felt I had everything I needed ! The breakfast was superb just enough food to satisfy me and it was very tasty abs freshly cooked ! It’s perfectly located for the town centre. Just one let down was I couldn’t find any other plugs apart from the one next to the kettle and the tv was in a strange place (guess that’s a personal preference tho) Apart from that I had a lovely stay and will definitely be booking in...

'The room was nice and the staff were wonderful. We arrived late so we went straight to bed. The next morning as we were leaving the hotel manager told us all about the home and its history and gave us a tour. Parking was very easy - right in front of the property. '

'Room was basic but just what i needed there no house keeping at hotel but to be fair i found this to be better you dont get disturbed lift in hotel very small and i need to use moobility scoota shadab would always stop what he was doing and helped me take it up in lift he was a god send nothing was to mutch bother for him really frendly as well the doirs to get mobility scoota out could be bit tricky as they were always closed but staff would help with this aswell '

'This was my third stay at the Ascott and I will keep coming back whenever I visit my family in Manchester. As an American I very much appreciate the things that make it different from the big hotel chains. It is quiet, it is personal, it is comfortable and to me “very British” which is a good thing. 'We had a great stay at the woodland. Room was spacious, well-equipped and clean. Great location and very close to the centre of Blackpool. We were made to feel very welcome by the host :)'

'Apartment room was good, needed a little more finesse & finishing but reasonable. There were some niggles such as rusty toilet roll holder, shower door that doesn't properly shut, no shelf in the shower room. The main issue however was the entrance & stairs which were very dirty. '
