'A beautiful and peaceful spot to spend some time. Wish we could’ve stayed longer. Our family of 4 had a wonderful stay exploring the property and cooling down in the pool with the amazing view. A great base to check out Estremoz, Monsaraz and pottery in Corval as well. Paul is a lovely and helpful host with great local recommendations. Don’t forget to stargaze. The night sky there is spectacular! We can’t wait to go back. '

'Really nice isolated, peaceful and quiet retreat. Premises is solar powered, with battery powered generator if batteries run out. Water isn't drinkable, so you need plenty of bottled water if you have a large family staying. Really enjoyed our stay here and the hosts were very helpful and resolved any problems we had. 'This is an old building which has been nicely upgraded. It was roomy and comfortable. I was an excellent place to stay in order to visit historic sites. Dropped off bread and tarts were a nice unexpected treat.'

'We stayed for 3 nights in 44 degrees. The rooms were cool, the pool very welcomed. Supermarket was about 6 Kms away, easy drives to marvao and castello de vide, both recommended historical hilltop towns.'
