We stayed at the Hacienda part which is the adult only. A short walk to the Grand which has the better pool by the beach and is the adjacent resort is where we spent most of our time since we wanted to see the ocean and beach. Obviously this part of PV does not offer long beach walks like the Nuervo Vallarta part so don't expect long beaches. The Hotel is very worn down and needs to be updated. The pool side beds were not in good shape and the entire facility seems to be outdated. The main buffet had very little choices and actually one of the fewest options for food of the dozen all inclusives I have been in PV. Some days I actually only had fried meats to choose from. Breakfast is regular and decent with options. The Italian was ok. Steakhouse was very bad and all meat well done with no option for otherwise.. Location is awesome. Walk to Walmart, 5 min 10 min from Malecon, and airport.

Most excursions where walking distance when they picked you up, and only 10 min car ride from airport. The food was delicious at all the restaurants. I would definitely stay here again.

Loved how beautiful this hotel and the grounds were. Lots of places to walk around, multiple pools to sit in, endless drinks, night time shows were great, food was good. Lots of pluses! I reduced my overall to 4 stars because there were a few things with the room I disliked. The sliding bathroom door was broken and wouldn’t shut. My friend and I took turns showering while the other stayed out on the balcony. Also the bathroom sinks did not drain very well. But the beds were very very comfy, the balcony was soooo wonderful (we were on the top floor) and the view of the pool was very nice to wake up to, plus the trees were full of beautiful birds who like to sing in the early hours. Sipped some coffee from the lobby and relaxed on the balcony every morning. I would stay here again for sure!

The all-inclusive buffets were average at best. The breakfast bacon and sausages were terrible. The French, Mexica Italian, and Steak House specialty restaruants were excellent with many seating times offered. Having to be at one of the pools by 8 AM each day in order to get lounge seating was annoying as guests were "reserving spaces then leaving their chairs for hours. This was unacceptable to us. Fortunately we had a "swim-out" suite with private soaking pool and chaise chairs as an alternative, which was great. Staff were all excellent - courteous and friendly. Bar service and quality was good. Aside from the usual noisy pool guests during the day, the grounds were relatively quiet and quiet after 9 PM. We would recommend this resort hotel to anyone.

Everything was perfect specially the adult pool only. The only negative part for us was the people go put the books or towels in the pool chairs and leave for hours. I don’t think people should be allowed to do that.

We just returned from 10 days at this property. Initially we didn’t really like it but it grew on us I think mostly due to the fantastic staff and service. I would say it’s an ok resort. If your looking for no frills it’s fine. The Hacienda pool has no ocean view which we adjusted to because the Krystal side does have the beach but the pool and surroundings were very crowded. We found the dining to be enjoyable but grew tired of the limited options after a couple of visits. A few additional options would help for a longer stay. The biggest issue and most annoying was the lack of chairs and towels. Everyday was a battle to find loungers unless you get up at 5:30 am to save a spot. I finally decided to make that sacrifice to ensure a nice spot. On vacation it’s not ideal and shouldn’t be necessary. There definitely was not enough chairs for the number of people there. Towels were only available in morning or late afternoon and if you didn’t grab the right away out of luck. I met a couple that had been there the year prior and the thought was that there were not as many chairs as the last visit and as they break they are not being replaced. Service at the pool and dining really was fantastic. We enjoyed a couples massage at the spa it was very enjoyable and a pleasant setting. The room was fine nothing special. Overall I would say it was priced accordingly but the chair issue was very aggravating.

The staff are exceptionally nice, very friendly and efficient. A la cart restaurants have improved since last year. Our only complaint was the horribly loud karaoke events held nightly in the lobby of the Krystal Grand.

My room smell humidity, trace of moisture. Dirty floors , I was on the first floor and had lots of mosquitoes. Service at the pool was very good and fast . Good room service . Food was very average , not lots of choices . Steak house very good, French restaurant good . We left the Italian restaurant because it took 1:30 h to get the first dish , no drinks … Pay more to get more !

Rooms overlooking the courtyard/pool were usually quiet (outside of occasional yahoos) clean and comfortable. All inclusive buffet was average as were many of the on site restaurants. Pool bar and poolside servers were excellent (Carlos and Cesar in particular)

We stayed at The Hacienda for 2 nights and that’s all we needed. The staff were very nice and our room was very big and newly renovated. The only complaint I would have is the drinks weren’t great (everything tasted like aspartame) and the resort is small and not much dining or nightly “shows”. This would be a great resort for peace and quiet, relaxing and just wanting to sunbath by the pool. I’ve been spoiled at larger resorts in Mexico and felt there was a lack of entertainment. We really enjoyed aquafit in the pool and wish the beach club would have been busier with more nightlife. Overall we relaxed, the staff were wonderful and the room was beautiful and comfortable.

Dear Jayla: Thank you very much for sharing your experience with us, it is very pleasing to know that the room and facilities were to your liking, we have entertainment practically every day on the resort side, as you know when staying at Hacienda you have access to all facilities, every day we have karaoke in the lobby bar, on Tuesdays circus show at the pool, on Wednesdays live music in the lobby bar, on Thursdays hawaino show in the pool, on Fridays Mexican show, on Saturdays Michael Jackson show and on Sundays live music in the lobby bar, Wednesdays live music in the lobby bar, Thursdays hawaino show in the pool, Fridays Mexican show, Saturdays Michael Jackson show and Sundays live music, as you can see we have shows and music almost all week, during the day Hacienda keeps a relaxed pace of activities but the resort side has: Kayaks, yoga, beach walk, bingo, aqua aerobics, trivia, dance classes, game room and gym. We will review your comments with the head of bars, to improve the options, we have different brands for guests to request the one of their preference. Our room flooded, customer service sucks especially if youre not white. Super limited dining, everything get taken. Buffet food isnt good. Honestly would not recommend.
