Tohoranui (Grote walvis) is de grootste accommodatie strandhuis in Pukehina op Bookabach. We hebben de lay-out ontworpen zodat onze gasten krijgen niet alleen een uitstekende prijs, maar de ervaring ruime woonkamer terwijl hij op vakantie.

TOHORANUI is gelegen op 703 Pukehina Parade op Pukehina Beach in het prachtige West Bay of Plenty. We zijn 45 minuten van Tauranga, Rotorua en Whakatane al zijn toeristische hot spots van NZ cultuur tot een vulkanische White Island avontuur. De dichtstbijzijnde supermarkt is in Te Puke ongeveer 15 minuten rijden. Er zijn 2 winkels met afhaalrestaurants op Pukehina strand. We hebben ook een restaurant en bar (The Hippy Pipi.) Pukehina Beach is perfect voor een ontspannen vakantie of een avontuur vol actie. De gebruikelijke ervaringen bij Pukehina Beach is de visserij op Snapper, Kahawai en Poon door surfcasting, Kontiki, kajak of vanaf een boot gelanceerd vanaf de boothelling op slechts een paar meter van ons hek. Bot kan worden gevangen netten in het estuarium. Schelpdieren (Kaimoana) pipi, Tuatua, mosselen en peddel krabben kan ook worden geoogst in het estuarium of surfen. Strand wandelingen zijn een must langs de zanderige Bay of Plenty kust. Kajakken kan spannend in de branding of gewoon zoetjes verkennen van de Pukehina estuarium zijn. (We voorzien onze gasten van het gebruik van 4 Kajaks met reddingsvesten).

Birthday celebration

What wonderful place to celebrate my Mum's milestone turning 90 in Pukehina. A perfect home to gather with friends and family with great kitchen and spaces to share meals and laughs. Basic rooms but everything that is required is there.Tip - Do bring you own tea and coffee and everything, there are no provisions.

Family trip

We stayed at this property with a large family group over the weekend. The whole family loved the bach. The was spacious with 2 large living areas with a tv each. The kitchen was equipped with 2 large fridge/ freezers, a lot of storage and large stove and oven ideal for cooking for large groups. The location was magical as we had both the beachand estuary only steps away. Also a play group for the kids at the estuary. The view from the house only looks on to the estuary and not the beach. The hosts were helpful,with detailed communication prioir to our stay and organized a smooth check in and out and gave us complete privacy. We highly recommend this property and host to all..

Great for a crowd

Had family and friends stay - great for a crowd. It was nice John met us on arrival. Great views over the estuary, especially from upstairs (along with peeks of the ocean). Very close to the boat ramp Clean and tidy. Long garage - might fit two vehicles Don't rely on there being any foody bits and pieces - bring everything - including salt and pepper/cooking oil/paper towels(which I did anyway). Coffee plunger available - so if you want to brew any other way - bring it :-) Overall, a great place to stay

Beach Holiday

I would recommend this holiday homeany large group, family etc. The property is very spacious, clean & has all modern conveniences anyone needs. Safe swimming in the close by Estuary which is great for younger children and adults. The walkway next to the property leads down to the beach. Great for walks and swimming etc. Just a super Place to stay.

The house was perfect for a large group. Handy to the beach, shop available if needed and enough bedrooms and facilities to suit. About 40 minutes to the Mount. Kitchen was easy to work in but it would have been nice to have larger pots to cook in for the numbers we had (19). Thanks

Beautiful home

This beautiful home suited the needs of our big family. Everything was supplied we didn't even need to bring anything extra besides food. Close to beach and estuary what more can you ask for. Highly recommend this place, also because you don't really find many houses that sleep large groups.
