'The Mayaloka Villas in Ubud was a paradise. The room was spacious and comfortable with a glass back wall open to the private pool. The bathroom was spacious and clean. I did not like the way the shower was open to the rest of the bathroom as water was able to be splashed everywhere. The lighting could have been better. The pool was inviting and we used it twice. 'The rooms and especially the bathrooms were big and clean. The staff were all very courteous and helpful. The location was close to everything. The only thing I didn’t like and couldn’t understand was why they put a pair of 70 year olds upstairs with 2 flights when 2 rooms downstairs were both empty twin rooms. I did complain to the front desk and they offeted to move us but we were there for only 2 nights so I declined.'

'This is a beautiful resort with a very traditional bali style. The rooms are spacious and even had a massive TV. Bathroom spacious with shower gel, shower caps etc in abundance. A really thoughtful touch is a water dispenser in the room which provided hot and cold drinking water. Tea and coffee facilities available. Clean pool, beautifully kept grounds. 'We stayed in a two bedroom villa with a nice garden and ”outdoor” kitchen and diningarea/livingroom. Very steep steps leading to the second bedroom. Breakfast is not bufféstyle but a set menu, quite small portions though. The hotel is about a 15 min walk from the Ubud center (market), witch is good because the place is nice and quiet at night. There is a bunch of restaurants within a couple of min walk. '
