'We love coming to the knoll house, it is clean and quirky and has a lot of history attached to it. The food is lovely. It’s very dog friendly beautiful Studland beach is across the road. It has a small pool and Swanage is five minutes drive down the road. It’s a very relaxing place to be.'

'Hotels in the UK can be a bit old or outdated, this is a good example. Don't get me wrong, the location is nice (Gold Hill is around the corner) and it's on a roundabout so you can't really miss it. But for nearly 200 euro, I have to say it's a bit overpriced. Yes it was high season and so on but still. Good things are, it's clean, it has a pool. Not so good, outdated a bit, it can get quite warm inside the room as there is no airco or fan in the room itself. Opening a window is good idea...

'This hotel is located in an amazing location with Poole Harbour to one side and the sea to the other, both accessible from the hotel. The staff are polite and professional. The housekeeping is impressive. Although the building is looking a little tired, the ambience, staff members and service make up for it. Breakfast is as expected with variety on offer to cater to most dietary requirements. The dining/eating area could be made a little more attractive as the layout seems rather formal....

'The room was clean, pleasant and windows you could open! The beds were very comfy. We enjoyed our small evening snack, breakfast and lunch dishes. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. I enjoyed the pool and sauna. They don't have a jacuzzi but a refreshing jacuzzi type cool pool to use after the sauna. We loved the calm and Monet-esque gardens and look forward to our next visit when the outdoor pool and flowers are out. '
