Our stay in Rarotonga was nothing short of paradise. The island itself is simply stunning — crystal-clear water, lush greenery, and that relaxed island atmosphere that makes you unwind the moment you arrive.The house is absolutely lovely — spacious, cool, and perfectly set up for a family stay. It truly feels like a home away from home. This is actually the second time we’ve stayed here, and we’re already thinking about when we can come back again!Thank you, Linda, for sharing your slice of heaven with us. Our whole family thoroughly enjoyed the stay and we are so grateful to you and your family for allowing us the use of your beautiful home. We can’t wait to return.

The Host emailed clear directions to get to the property. On arrival, we couldnt fault the cleanliness or believe how spacious it was. Just perfect for my large tribe.The beach and nearby shops were easy to walk to 10-15 mins.We were lucky enough to have brilliant days so beach and swimming everyday.Kitchen facilities and outdoor BBQ was awesome as we shopped for a small grocery items such as breakfast and a few dinners. Was lovely to read about the families beginnings and how Turou Retreat came to be.Also had a variety of brochures about all the different activities in and around Rarotonga which was superb.Thank you so much for this glorious opportunity to experience Rarotonga for all of us.Meitaki Maata. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Turou Retreat. Nice big house with all amenities and in a great location. Close to the shops, beach and night market. We would definitely stay there again. The host was fantastic and went above and beyond to ensure we were taken care of.I highly recommend this place you won't be disappointed.

We had a fantastic time. Everything was as it showed. It’s a perfect venue for a large family stay. If I had 1 complaint it would be the hot water supply. But we managed and as it was very warm it didnt really matter

Turou Retreat was everything I hoped it would be. It is a lovely, clean, spacious and well equipped family home. The large deck lends itself to relaxing, eating your brekkie, enjoying a G&T or whatever takes your fancy. We had a birthday BBQ lunch and everyone agreed it was the ideal setting.Thank you so much Linda to you and your family for making your home available and welcoming.We loved our stay. Beautiful Place

This was an amazing property and perfect for what we qere looking for. Lots of room to spread out and close enough distance to walk to Muri. We did have a car which made exploring the island easy, especially if it rained. There was everything you needed for your stay. Thanks for letting us stay and being so helpful.

Home sweet home away from home!

Great house that met our needs and expectations! Good size rooms and spacious open living area. large covered deck for outdoor dining! Very close to the beach, shops and my brothers wedding venue. Only hickup was my bad for deleting check in details, but the neighbor was very helpful. Highly recommend!!!

One month in Raro

We stayed for a month and had an enjoyable relaxing time mainly dining on the deck or lounging on the lawn. The house was ideal for our needs with our party size growing to 9 for a few days. Kitchen well equipped along with two fridges ideal for our needs. Definitely worked for an our family. Thank you

Beautiful house , shame it’s full of black mold, you have to refil gas bottles and water tank

The house its self is lovely. However the smell of mold is terrible. When we actually went searching for the smell there is black mold on every single mattress in the house. And on the couch too. There was algae in the main water bottle that is for drinking water. If you run out of water you have to pay for a truck to have it refilled, if you run out of gas your expected to pay for it too. We payed over $4k to stay here and sleep on moldy mattresses. This property should be pulled off stayz. Owners did not care just thanked me for my honesty Save your money and stay in a 5star resort

Beautiful home close to everything

Our family (3 generations) enjoyed staying at Turou retreat. The house provided the space we needed and gave us the option to cook our own meals. The location is great. Everything is close by on Rarotonga. We loved going to ice cream and had some amazing meals at local restaurants. Thank you Linda and family for letting us stay in your house!

We super enjoyed the stay at Turou. I think the online pictures don't do it justice. This place is much bigger and nicer than we expected. Its tidy and nicely laid out. The air conditioned bedrooms make it very comfortable. Thanks Linda and family for letting us stay here. Massive memories.

Turou Retreat is a great place to stay, we loved the personal touches of the books about the family & there journey of buliding Torou ❤ there was everything you needed there for a great holiday, close walking distance to a snolking beach and not far from Muri, we hired a van which was great, it was only a couple of hundred more than paying for transfers for 8 of us. We would definitely stay here again and recommend to all families. Thankyou 😊

Turou Retreat - a vacay_must stay perfect for families of all sizes

Definitely lives up to its name! It’s not only spacious, family friendly (and definitely ideal for large families and groups - just like mine), it has all the amenities needed to be self-sufficient (regardless of not having an oven). It’s in a great location accessible to all the bells and whistles of Rarotonga (and only a few minutes walk away from a beautiful snorkelling beach, Muri market just around the corner, and more) - it’s a home away from home! And, although the fruits weren’t quite ready for picking (because of the time we decided to travel) we can only imagine that this would have been the icing on the cake. Linda makes you feel so welcomed (before you even arrive on the island). The books that this family provide for guests to read - are superb - where you feel even more connected because you understand the journey this family has undergone to build this home. A definite “yes please, let’s stay here again” from our family.

Will 100% be back!

What a fantastic find! 5 minutes walk to the beach, and a cafe but not much further for more options. Set back off the beach so was a bit cooler and protected from the strong winds we had. Spacious, family friendly and so well equipped with everything we could need to be self sufficient. We loved being able to pick fresh passion fruit from the balcony and guava from the lane. Can’t wait to come back (but maybe with the kids this time as plenty of room).
