'Wonderful set up at The Lodge. Perfect for a romantic getaway or a small family break. All the mod cons, particularly liked the electric window blinds. Kitchen facilities was excellent and more than adequate. We also took our own coffee machine for that extra home comfort. Location was pretty central for the places we wanted to visit. Windermere was only 40 minutes away with stunning views of the country side on route. Hot Tube was a lovely touch and well maintainedAll in all a lovely break away...

'We had a wonderful five-day stay at Tawny Cottage in Portinscale in mid-May. The cottage was spotlessly clean, very cosy, and it was such a lovely touch to find the heating already on when we arrived. The kitchen was exceedingly well equipped, which made self-catering easy, and the beds were very comfortable, so we slept really well throughout our stay. The location was excellent too - close to The Farmer’s Arms, a traditional pub serving good food, and with easy access to Keswick while still...

'This was our third visit to Spa Cottages. It is a great base for exploring the Lake District. Parking can be a bit tight, but for the majority of the time we were able to park directly outside the property.'

'This property is great value for money. Could do with a little bit of deor makeover in living room , a bit dated (sorry).but this may put people off which is otherwise a great rental. Very comfortable beds, bedrooms were lovely and spacious and very clean. One bedroom at the top of the property has a great view of Latrigg and Skiddaw on your own private balcony with chairs and a table. Great for a coffee on a morning . Massive added bonus is your own parking space at the rear of the property....
