'The room was very clean and the beds very comfortable. The room had a GHD hairdryer, a good selection of tea and cofees. Communal areas were spotless and nicely decorated. We had a a good stay. The one small gripe was the cooked breakfast. Sausages and tomatoes were undercooked, it came with toasted sourdough but, it needed a softer bread. Especially as no baked beans allowed. I omitted a few things such as black pudding, egg and mushrooms. What was served wasn't increased to compensate. I...

'This was a lovely spot for my stay in Windermere. Very convenient to the train station and bus stop, as well as pubs and restaurants. My room was comfortable and roomy with a full bath, including tub, and a beautiful view of the fells when the weather was clear. Anita and Denis are great hosts - warm and welcoming. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. '

'We had a great stay at Rum Doodle, a friendly welcome on arrival we were shown to our room. We stayed in Wish, which was clean, well equipped and we loved the quirky decor and nice village views. Great shower! The only minor issue we found was the 4-poster bed was quite creaky, and some noise from other rooms but that's just the nature of the building, and it was very quiet overnight so we slept well.
