'The Montvale was/is a nice find. It’s at the edge of downtown, on a quiet street. Recently renovated, the quasi-Victorian colors can skew a bit pink, but stepping out of the elevator into the lovely atrium is a treat. There are comfortable seats to lounge in with friends and soak up the mellow atmosphere.
The staff are friendly and happy to help: we had a couple of packages delivered there, and they were waiting for us at check in.

We arrived, and the front desk staff warmly congratulated us and surprised us with a complimentary upgrade to a beautiful suite. The room was spotless, spacious, and luxurious, with amazing views. "Voor de prijs een prima locatie en schone kamers. Bed en badkamer waren prima. We hebben er geen ontbijt gegeten.
Ik betaalde iets extra voor uitzicht op de rivier, maar dat geld had ik me kunnen besparen. Van uitzicht was geen sprake. Verder is het gebouw erg gehorig. Om 1u 's nachts hoor de mensen boven je heen en weer lopen. Dus dat hield me wakker. "
