Great views
Great views and nice house. We enjoyed our stay and property has everything you need. Great communication with owners and very secluded. It is about a 20 min ride from town though so make sure you stop for anything you need before making your way to the house.

Amazing!!
This is THE property for you!! My husband and I got to stay 7 days in paradise! The views from the hot tub and the back porch….WOW! Pictures do not do it justice! The drive up to the cabin was a little way out, but you NEED to get out to see the wildlife that we saw. Little chipmunks, mule deer, elk, turkeys, not to mention the beautiful birds. We actually got a snow flurry almost everyday while we were there (May 4-11th) which was awesome for us because we are from Louisiana and we don’t see much snow where we are. Lol We had elk RIGHT beside the hot tub one day. Anyway, you get the picture! The house was super clean and the owner was so helpful with anything that we needed (which was mostly suggestions of the best local dining spots in town). Great place! Miss it already and looking forward to returning soon. Thanks for everything, Rick!

The Honeymoon Spot to Beat!
You would be hard pressed to find a better space in the Ridgeway/Ouray area. There are always doubts when you book a place at first. Wondering if, or by how much, they got 'creative' with the photos. Here we found none of that. The cabin was just what we hoped for, and more. The views were great, place well put together and clean. A perfect spot for me and my beloved to spend a week away. A perfect place to be able to sit at peace.

Couldn’t Be Better
My friend and I could not have had a better time staying at Rick and Shannon‘s cabin. 6 nights of peace, beauty, and comfort while we checked out Ridgway, Ouray, Telluride, and Silverton. The beds - so comfortable, the big high resolution TV, sitting out on the back deck and taking in the stellar views, the hot tub with the moon shine, everything clean and well furnished - all just WOW. Best kept secret tucked away right here. Definitely a repeat stay coming up. PS For EV electric charging locally, you cannot beat the fast charge of 4 stations (all functioning) at the Ouray visitor center. PSS Loved Brick House, Kami’s Samis, Eatery 66, Thai Chili, Blue Pear boutique, Kate’s Place, Mountain Girl Gallery, Smuggler Union in Telluride, Coffee Bear in Silverton.

Secluded Getaway
We stayed early April 2023 - the property was just as described. There was some snow melt when we were there so we didn’t traverse the road in to explore much just to avoid any potential issues (mud, holes). This wasn’t a problem for us though - we felt very secluded and we’re able to fully relax into the staycation aspect of it! The views are beautiful and the spa was great for stargazing at night. Kitchen could be slightly better equipped as we did cook all of our meals but we made it work. This is really a beautiful property and we had the most relaxing time.

Picturesque Escape
Gorgeous getaway for my partner and me with awe-inspiring views from all sides of the cabin. We were pleasantly surprised to find ourselves higher in the mountains than expected and definitely regretted not renting a 4x4 - recent snow blanketed the area but made our stay even more special. From the bird feeder to the grill to the hot tub, Rick & Shannon's thoughtful touches already have us itching to return!

Extremely Peaceful and Beautiful
This house is in an excellent location. You have the privacy and seclusion that most would want in a mountain getaway, but its only a 15-20 min drive back into Ridgeway for anything you may need and only 45 mins to an hour back to Telluride, Montrose, and Ouray for any activities you may want to do.

Perfection!
If you are looking for seclusion with postcard views, look no further! I can’t say enough good things about this place. A little off the beaten path but totally worth it. If going in winter, an AWD vehicle is strongly recommended. Place was very clean and was equipped with anything we needed. Do not hesitate to book!

We both had an amazing time. The hot tub was a blast, especially in the snow! The home was clean and very welcoming. We enjoyed driving into town and ate breakfast at Kate’s. Ouray was a nice drive and good place to visit for the day as well.

The Perfect Haven
It's difficult to adequately describe the splendor and absolute beauty of this cabin! It really looked like it came out of a fairy tale and we felt like we were on top of the world! We loved the decor, and the love and detail so lovingly put into making it feel like home. Sitting by the fire on the wraparound porch, we were in awe of the incredible sunrises and panoramic view of the snow-covered mountains surrounding us. So peaceful and absolutely breathtaking! Every photo is frame-worthy! Thanks to Cannon Creek and our hosts, this was the most magical vacation ever! Our only regret is that we didn't have more time. If you're an overthinker like me, just STOP and book this cabin! It is heavenly! Five stars times a million!

Such an amazing getaway for us. Our stay was breathtaking with awesome views out every window. Cabin and hosts were fantastic. Our location was perfect for trips into Ouray and Silverton along the Million dollar Hwy and also Telluride. Not one complaint and highly recommend this cabin. It was perfection!!

Beyond expectations! 5 star experience!
We can't recommend this place enough! We were there the week of Oct. 16th. Rick was a very welcoming host. Very nice to have him next door. There are fantastic views out every window. Picture perfect views of the Cimarron and San Juan mountains from the living room, kitchen, deck and hot tub! The San Juan mountains are one of the most picturesque ranges in Colorado! The house has been remodeled and is very clean and what you hope to find in a rental property. So many wonderful hikes in the area. We ate in every night because the views from the dining room and deck were a 12 out of 10!! It was our anniversary and what a perfect place to spend it. We hope to return again.

Tranquil Paradise, Book it!
Rick was a terrific host; friendly, great with recommendations and communication about things to do and anything we needed at his amazing cabin between Ridgeway and Ouray. Fabulous views, cozy bed, plenty of towels and even slippers. This place is amazing. We enjoyed sitting on the deck watching the hummingbirds, deer and other woodland creatures that visited and the views, hot tub and firepit. Stargazing is incredible too! I slept better here than I have anywhere in 15 years! Thank you Rick & Shannon. Hope to come back again soon.

Nothing short of spectacular!
Our stay at Cannon Creek Cabin was absolutely amazing. We were immediately in awe of the views when we arrived. The drive itself was incredible but you quickly realize that you get THE best views compared to the surrounding cabins/homes. It is perfect for four people. We planned this trip expecting to spend most our time in Ouray, but we found ourselves wanting to be at the cabin most of our stay! We played records, made fires in the fire pit, stargazed in the hot tub at night, had coffee on the porch in the mornings. We even cooked all of our meals there! They supplied everything you need during a mountain stay. Loved reading the guest book and the comments of past visitors. The only complaint is that we only booked two nights.. Could have easily spent a week here. We would LOVE to stay again!

The million dollar views on the drive to the cabin showed us we were in for a treat. Once getting to our destination, the mountain peaks were even more regal. The cabin? It did not disappoint either. Comfortable furnishings, well appointed kitchen, a wrap around deck with multiple sitting areas and a hot tub! What more could a person want? But if you needed more entertainment, the chipmunks and birds will hold your interest. We loved every minute of our stay at Cannon Creek and highly recommend it.

Gorgeous views ... Beautiful property!!!
As you step into the cabin, you immediately take in the breathtaking views from all window views in front of you. The cabin offers all one needs to enjoy your stay as if it was your home. We love preparing and sharing dinners together with our group. We definitely were able to do that here. The vinyl records that the cabin offered, were enjoyed throughout our stay. The views from the deck and hot tub where phoenominal. We spent a great deal of time on the deck during our stay from watching the sunrise with coffee to afternoons playing cards to cocktails in the evening. We had the opportunity to meet Rick on our first day. It was so nice getting to visit with him and to learn more about the cabin. This cabin is truly one you will enjoy!!

Incredible views to get your Rocky Mountain High
The cabin was perfect, off the grid but with all the conveniences we want these days. We spent sunrises and sunsets on the deck, with amazing views of the San Juan peaks. Close to Telluride, Ouray and Ridgway for our day exploring. We are definitely going back!

The pictures do not do this place justice. The view just amazes you everyday. The house has everything you need. The bed is comfortable and there’s extra blankets. The house is up a small mountain so it takes a few minutes to get to. There’s a lot of wildlife also and the view up the mountain is beautiful. You definitely won’t regret staying here it’s so peaceful and relaxing.

We were very impressed with everything! The views are absolutely spectacular and the wrap around porch offers several view points. The hot tub was situated perfectly and felt so secluded. The interior of the home was so nicely decorated. There are lots of big windows that really make you feel a part of the scenery. The record player was a bonus and we listened to albums all throughout our stay. Rick is very responsive and super helpful. I will definitely be staying here again!

We had a great few days here, and hope to come back! You simply can't beat the incredible vistas here, surrounded by mountain peaks. The house is comfortable and well-furnished. It's heated primarily with a wood pellet stove that quickly makes the whole house toasty (it's supplemented with baseboard heat, so don't worry). And the hot tub is a great bonus after a long day of hiking. It's a little out of the way, with several miles of dirt roads between the house and nearby Ridgway, but nothing a car can't handle. Deer were a regular sight, but we didn't see any bears! Ridgway, Ouray, Telluride, and Montrose are all a reasonable distance away, providing lots of opportunities for food, hiking, shopping, and generally seeing what the region has to offer. We met our host, Rick, who is a super nice guy. He and his wife live next door, but they gave us plenty of privacy during our stay. Thanks to them for a wonderful few days in a spectacular place!

Mountain Paradise
Words cannot express what a wonderful long weekend we experienced at Rick's mountain home. The house was just as described, very clean and well decorated. Kitchen was stocked with all the essentials. The highlight was the view. Every room offered spectacular breathtaking views that I can only describe as what is seen on postcards. Rick was super friendly and responsive. We visited in the off season and are already looking forward to returning in warmer weather. We also enjoyed the town of Ridgway and the many restaurants in town.
