'We decided to just get away for the weekend, to go snowtubbing and play in the snow. The area was beautiful were we stayed. Lee was wonderful and took care of us. '

'For the cost of what we paid for the rental, it was fantastic. It has 2 great outdoor spaces, with a top and lower deck. It is small, but enough space for what we needed. It needs a few simple things, that I noticed others mention, like more towels. We are 60 guest and had to maneuver to get up the outdoor steps and to get in to the high ledge bath tub/showers. We found the furniture and beds comfortable. The kitchen had just about anything you could use, but a big pot to boil spaghetti. We...

'Would have loved to stay longer to enjoy the property more. My husband loved the deer. They were plentiful! Nice very clean property. Loved the fans in the bedrooms, (right up my alley) and that there were a few snacks and waters. That was nice as we were rushing to get ready for a nearby wedding.'

'This is a very cute house in walking distance to all the shopping and restaurants in downtown Blowing Rock. It was very clean. Communication was good and our early check in request was accommodated. I would definitely recommend! '

'The creek is amazing. Deep enough to wade into. Location is convenient to Banner Elk (you have to try the Wilderness Run Alpine Coaster!!) and Boone (have to try Coyote Kitchen and Stick Boy!) While you're at it head up Beech Mountain in the summer and ride the chair lift to the top (there's a bar up there) and watch the mountain bikers ride down the mountain. House was convenient to all of this! Can't wait to return. Oh yeah, the homemade sour dough bread and jam are a welcome surprise. '

'My husband, dog and I had a wonderful stay at Two Steps Down. It was perfect for us - clean, cozy, well-stocked and (best of all) right in the middle of everything in downtown Blowing Rock. We loved the fire pit! It was great to have a fenced in yard for our dog. We will definitely be back! '

"One night stay here after staying at their sister hotel in Raleigh. The property itself is fine but no atmosphere compared to Raleigh. Easy parking, clean and comfortable room. Not much to do within walking distance, except a burger takeaway. We tried to walk to a nearby microbrewery. It should've been a 5 minute walk, but we found it impossible to cross the 6-lane highway in front of the motel so gave up and went back to our room. Maybe, as Europeans, we're not used to the American way of driving everywhere, but to visit a brewery, walking would seem a safer option. Pleasant enough motel but not sure we'd return."
