'Very quirky property and we loved our one night stay. Extremely convenient for public transport (bus and ferry), shopping, dining, sightseeing etc.,. Super bar with LPs and memorabilia plus a robot to serve drinks! Shame the lift wasn’t working. Quite a lot of stairs and I thought it was going to be noisy because they are wooden and it was the end of Cowes week, but we had a very peaceful night. Can see us coming back to this place for a longer stay. '
'Exceptional hotel which has been recently refurbished to a really high standard. Our room was stunning, beautifully decorated with picture perfect sea views. We had everything we needed in the room, hair dryer, coffee maker,tea, fridge, bottled water etc. Nothing was too much trouble for the hosts, John and Francie, who were so friendly and helpful. Our room was beautifully decorated and furnished and the extra large king sized bed very comfortable. The continental breakfast was extensive, served in a lovely dining room looking onto the gardens. Lovely grounds outside the hotel for walking, your doggy or dogs and lovely walks around shortpark of a few minutes to Sandown Beach and lovely shops around thoroughly. Enjoyed my stay. 'If you use a wheelchair make sure you state this when booking. Accessible suites are only available on the 2nd floor and the lift does not go to the third floor. We were on the third so we had some steps to use and drag the chair up. An access ramp is at the side of the building but, if you cannot do stairs, you have to wheel through the outside bar patio in the front, into the back of the bar, through the restaurant and out into the lobby.
