  • OCEANVIEW Waves- Wimble Shores Dr. DOWN BY THE SEA is slechts een korte wandeling naar de oceaan of het geluid voor watersporttoegang, op slechts een steenworp afstand van restaurants, en is geladen met geweldige voorzieningen, zoals ruime 9 'plafonds. De benedenzaal heeft een pooltafel, een 32-inch flatscreen-tv, een bar met een koelkast en toegang tot het terras aan het zwembad met een picknicktafel. Stap naar het privézwembad en de hot tub voor 6 personen en ontspan uw zorgen. Het middelste niveau beschikt over twee kingsize master suites en een slaapkamer met twee eenpersoonsbedden - elk met tv en directe toegang tot het dek leidt naar het zwembad en de spa. Ook op dit niveau is een stapelbed slaapkamer met TV / DVD (geen kabel) die een hal bad deelt met de tweepersoonskamer. De geweldige kamer op het hoogste niveau, met gewelfde plafonds en een 50-inch tv- en dvd-speler, biedt oceaanzicht. De ruime keuken met bijkeuken biedt een prachtig geluidsbeeld en de grote ramen. De afwerking van dit niveau is een kingsize hoofdsuite met een gewelfd plafond, een tv en uitzicht op de oceaan en het geluid. Dit huis biedt gratis toegangspoorten tot de Rodanthe Fishing Pier voor vissen of sightseeing. Het leven is kort en de plek om te zijn is NEER DOOR DE ZEE. Great Place In Rodanthe

We ver much enjoyed our stay here. The Outer Banks was amazing. We will defiantely come again. This property fit us to a tee. The management staff were wonderful to work with. Thanks Bryan G

Great time

The property was well kept and very clean. The pool however wasn't vacuumed but it wasn't too bad. The kids were still able to swim. Very good distance from the ocean and other attractions.

Nice home, plenty of room. A few minor cleaning issues like food crumbs under furniture, a few hairs around the shower and sticky hand rails. Still trying to resolve the overcharge problem with VRBO.

A gem in the OBX!

Upon arrival, the house from the outside was adorable. Inside the house was clean and spacious. You are literally 2 minutes walking distance to the beach. The pool was a welcome respite from the hot sun. It was clean and refreshing. We spent most of our breakfasts, lunches and dinners cooking as a family in the house ( why spend the money). When I say this kitchen has every appliance you could need to cook for 11, it did! It was well stocked with all the necessary items (I’ve asked my family for the same blender for Christmas loved it!!) The bedrooms were large, and I have to admit the beds were so comfortable (this often isn’t the case). Lastly, although you’re not right no the water, you can see the ocean from the 3rd floor balcony. We spent lots of time on the porches which had nice resin chairs. The 3rd floor enclosed patio was amazing especially when a night thunderstorm rolled through. It was simply gorgeous to watch and stay dry. We will be back to the OBX, and my family would love to stay in this gem in the OBX.

Great House, but….

In general, enjoyed our stay and the town!HOUSE: Had plenty of room, was exceptionally clean, and had thoughtful touches like nightlights, a clothes line, and extra hooks throughout. Elevator is outside which was weird but OK. BEACH: Access is best for able bodies: that dune is quite steep. The walk to the beach is a bit longer than I was hoping for, especially with gear. BOOKING: We experienced a price discrepancy after booking through VRBO. SSR did not honor the booked price, the supervisor never returned my call, and I spent 3 months pursuing a refund w/ VRBO. CHECKIN/CHECKOUT: Easy. SSR is a "well-oiled machine." THE TOWN: Rodanthe itself is a bit lackluster - there are few local shops/eateries/creameries so be prepared to drive 20 mins to activities or dining options. There is a bike path that travels along the main road but not too much is around to explore. Some of the camping areas seemed great and there is a sound access nearby which the kids loved (felt like a lake). Rodanthe is definitely on “island time”; if “seen-better-days” beach town is your vibe, you came to the right place.

Great place for a large loud family.

We did a family vacation with 4 siblings that have their own families. Each family had a very nice room and it was quit upstairs when the youngest teens were playing pool. Short walk to beach 1/2 block. Not a lot of tourist like the northern island, very nice and quite.

Great stay at Waves

The house was perfect for the two families that rented. It was impeccably clean and the pool and hot tub were an awesome addition. We loved the peacefulness of the location and the proximity to the beach. The house had just about everything we needed - we would definitely stay there again.

Fun in the sun

Great property. This was our first time renting Down By The Sea. There were eight of us in total, four adults and four children between the ages of 8-14. The house was more than big enough to accommodate our group. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking our own meals. Short walk to the beach/ocean and when we weren’t there we were using the pool. There was also plenty of room in the yard for playing catch or cornhole.

The house was beautiful and great location. Everything we needed was minutes away. I wanted to say a special thank you to the pool guy, he found our wedding ring and placed it on the picnic table for us to see when we returned from the beach.

House was great, a few cleanliness issues, overall was good though. We weren't able to use the pool due to the pool key wasn't left for us to get in the gate, but the beach and surrounding area kept us busy.

Very nice property, all amenities as advertised, very nicely decorated and well stocked with everything we needed in the kitchen. Very pleased with our stay.
