'I had to communicate with the owners prior to our stay, and they were very helpful and quick to respond. Their house is beautiful! We had a row boat and 3 kayaks to use, too. It was an awesome weekend get away!'

'Quaint, rustic and updated cabin with all the necessities to enjoy time by the waters of Long Lake. Plenty of room for parking the boat trailer. Water at the dock was shallow when we visited so we loaded and unloaded at the DNR Boat Ramp 3.5 miles to the west. Lots of opportunities in nearby Alpena and Lake Huron. Communication with the owner was easy and response time was immediate. Clean and well kept! Thank you Ryan!'

'In the area for an anniversary getaway, and found this reasonably priced cottage. First, everything we needed to know or that could have been an issue upon arrival was covered by the owner of the property long before we even left for the trip. 'This little cabin is a dream. Everything you need for a great stay to recharge. Clean and thoughtful in every way from supplies to decor. We thank our host for the memories and look forward to my my next stay (I have already booked!). The location is perfect near 23 to explore the area or even venture to Mackinaw for the day. 'I LOVED my stay with Amanda. She’s really well at communicating and she is always available for questions. She was genuine and really cared for us to have a good stay. This is the PERFECT place to cook good meals, have fires, and relax. Can’t say enough great things.'

'Shower left a lot to be desired. Cold water knob fell off. When turned on not sure if it was from sitting or the shower head but ended up covered with a rust type sludge. I know it’s from the well water but maybe before being occupied if it sat vacant go in and run the shower and clean the shower head.'

'The setting was beautiful! The kitchen sink and shower were so disgusting, we went to town for cleanser and cleaned them before we could use them. The refrigerator was dirty and had other peoples food (condiments etc) in it. There were cob webs with spiders and eggs under the table in the living room. We only stayed 2 nights of our three booked. There wasn't a can opener or toaster in the kitchen. There were also two gun safes in our cabin! '

'Cottage is in a wonderful location on Grand Lake. The property is clean, beautiful and has all the amenities we need. Fishing is always great. Host Tony is always welcoming and responsive to questions/needs. All around a wonderful vacation rental!'

'The cottage was nice, but the beach was amazing and very private. If this place was on the western side of the state it would be double the price. I will say, if you are a snob you may find Cheboygan to be a little rough around the edges, but there is really no reason to leave that amazing beachfront. It is a bit rocky so bring water shoes. It was a great, and memorable experience for my family. Grateful to have had time here.'

'This property is absolutely beautiful! With adult kids, the twin beds were a bit small, but that didn't get in our way. The location on the lake is amazing. Perfect to bring your boat and enjoy the water. The only thing this place doesn't have is NOISE! So quiet and peaceful!! Truly a gem :) We'd love to come back again! Loved the pizza at Dirty Duck.'
