The staff were really friendly and I'd highly recommended having the family style dinner they provide as it's delicious and you get to speak with others staying there. Worth hiring a car as this is out of the way but plently of space to park on the road. '

'Good and pleasant small hotel. Very friendly staff, good breakfast, nice swimming pool, reasonably good restaurant, great sunset view from the little terrace in front of my room. My WiFi worked perfectly, as did the AC and fridge. Did not try the tv. Shower and towels may need an upgrade in some years. '

'The hotel rooms were advertised has having an ocean view but you could not see the ocean from our room. The room was clean, although small. The host was courteous and helpful He arranged for us to eat a lovely dinner at a local restaurant and arranged for the owner to pick us up so we did not have to drive. We think he forgot to turn on the hot water so, although there was a great shower, the water was not hot. The worst part of the stay however, was that reggae music played at a location close...

'There was no stay when I called from Puerto Rico I was informed that no rooms were available and my an email had been sent to me informing me of the same.l have received no such email as for the payment Hotels.com would refund the money can you image my plight that after flying for 50 hours and arriving at 11 pm in Dominica the booking money is taken and no accomodation provided I think Hotel.com need to review all its listings and the commitment that they are providing'

'Burkey's place is beautiful, well stocked and relaxing! We went with two young kids, and we enjoyed the ability to wash our clothes and make dinner, while still being in a unique Jungle setting. Would definitely recommend, especially to a couple or two couples traveling together. '

'We are very happy with our home away from home while vacationing in Dominica. Leonard was very responsive from the questions we had before we booked until the end of our stay. He helped with taxi arrangements from the airport to recommending a car rental service. 'Accomodation is located in the green Roseau valley, 5 car minutes from town. Upon arrival we received a warm welcome from ownwers and staff. Cottage was aged and smaller than we expected. Tiny wardrobe, inconveniently located in the bathroom! Bedroom small, too. On the positive side, all equipment is in working order.
