Het enige aandachtspunt is dat de afstand van de verste kamers tot receptie / restaurant behoorlijk ver is. Als je met oudere personen op stap bent, best hiermee rekening houden.'

'Beautiful, comfortable and clean accommodations with a stunning view of the Douro River! Excellent pool overlooking the river and valley. The staff were all so friendly, kind and helpful. It was an absolute delight to stay here, I would highly recommend Quinta da Marka and hope I can make it back there someday! '

'Hele mooie plek om te verblijven. Het was alleen jammer dat het leek alsof we tussen drukke periodes kwamen. De mooie tuin stond er een beetje rommelig en verlaten bij. Maar personeel was uiterst behulpzaam en vriendelijk.'

'Such a wonderful slice of heaven. Definitely visit this property. The staff were fantastic & so helpful. A bottle of sparkling wine at the pool was €18 and absolutely delicious. The breakfast omelette was delightful, the dinner was delicious. The pool was sensational, such a lovely place to be. Book it! We had a vineyard suite, the Manor House ones seemed further away. '

'We had a wonderful stay at this quiet green country home at the river Douro. It was only 15 minutes away from Porto city and it was such a delight to return home after sightseeing and being able to relax on the terrace overlooking the river. There is also a wonderful swimming pool which is a walk uphill. The pool was cleaned every morning. Everything you need is at the house. Thank you, Elsa, for your hospitality!'

'Gaia is across the river from Porto; a short ride to downtown but away from the throngs of tourists. The beach and beach restaurants are a five minute walk from the house. Joaquim was a wonderful host and the accommodations felt like a five star hotel. we would definitely stay here again.'
