'The property was better than advertised. Brand new and perfectly efficiently layed out for a family of 4. Kids loved sleeping in the loft and had their choice of beds. The house was immaculate and the linens were comfortable like home. We have a wonderful time at the house and skiing Sunday River which was a pleasant drive and easy to get to. The lake was our favorite!!'

'If you haven't seen the movie On Golden Pond, you can watch it on YouTube. You'll know exactly what to expect for decor and ambience.This was an exceptional experience! Someone posted about the screen door slamming each time you closed it. My Great Grandparents door did the same, when I didn't control it. I felt like that excited little kid, each time I heard it. We rarely went inside. The screen porch was too peaceful. The loon sounds were mesmerizing. Don't be envious that you have less sun....

'Cabin is wonderfully renovated with modern conveniences while fully embracing the "get away from it all" theme. Property was super clean and easy communication with in-town property manager. Fantastic master bedroom and perfect kitchen and sitting area for meals, table games and just disconnecting from it all. Dock with adirondack chairs was peaceful. Loon Lake is perfect by itself, but the supplied 2 kayaks made it even better. Owner is fantastic. Hope to return soon. 5 stars!!'

'Lisa is a fantastic hostess. She felt like having a family member taking care of you. Her place was one of the most well stocked (higher quality products) homes I have ever rented. 'We stayed at the end of August and had a wonderful time. Our host(ess) was very easy to communicate with and she provided us with plenty of information about the property and things to do locally. The kids spent alot of time at the swimming hole on the Sindsy river, as well as fishing there are plenty of brook and brown ttout in the river as well as some perch. 'We had a fantastic stay at the Riverfront Farmhouse. The design & interiors of this vacation home are well thought out...pleasing, intuitive & well appointed. The sighting of the house on the beautiful wooded lot is perfect for privacy, views of the woods and southern exposure. We spent several March afternoons on the sun filled deck. In addition, the hosts thought of everything to accommodate our comfort and needs. We felt welcomed and communication was excellent.'

The only minor disappointment was the fireplace was not working. Not a deal breaker, but we love to come back after a cold day of skiing and warm up by a fire. Two bathrooms were stocked with towels, making our stay incredibly convenient and all bathrooms were also stocked with some toiletries. 'Lovely time at this clean and well kept home near Greenwood Lake in Bethel. An easy 20-25 minute drive to Sunday River, this home is well-stocked, comfortable, and remote offering a little downtime after a full day on the slopes. Teenaged boys enjoyed hot tub and ping pong table. Kitchen was clean, bedrooms comfortable, and utensils and cooking appliance / surfaces all worked well. We enjoyed our stay immensely and would recommend it to anyone.'

'We only had a very brief stay, alas, but made the most of the opportunity as best we could. A few updates are needed with the introductory welcome materials and equipment information that will be easy but useful to correct. Glad we had a chance to pause in western Maine, with a view of close mountains and the distant Presidential Range in NH.
