Those with an interest in history may also appreciate a visit to Ruthin Gaol Museum; a Pentonville style prison which ceased hosting prisoners in 1916. You can learn plenty about the facilities that inmates will have endured, their crimes and even hear a few ghost stories!

Car and motor racing buffs will also find something of interest here, with the town centre Tom Pryce Memorial paying homage to the only Welsh racing driver to have won a Formula 1 race.

Further history is found in Llangollen, where there is an old steam train railway station and is the only standard gauge heritage in North Wales; aboard and enjoy a unique journey through beautiful scenery.
