'My wife and I stayed for just one night. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left the staff and proprietor were very friendly and helpful. We dined in the evening and breakfasted the following morning. The food was good and service efficient, friendly and courteous. Our room was warm and clean and the bed very comfortable. What more do you need from a hotel? We will definitely stay should we go back to the area.'

'Een hotel ligt aan erg drukke weg, deed geen oog dicht. De foto's deden mij anders vermoeden. Voorts heeft het hotel geen faciliteiten, heb ik geen magnetron aangetroffen op de kamer en was de stoel bij het dressoir ronduit smerig. In het bed kon je de veren voelen, hoewel het comfort liggend wel te doen was. Belangrijk vind ik altijd de douche, lekker wakker worden. De temperatuur was niet goed in te stellen met de twee aparte handles en de vast douchekop hangt ter hoogte van de borst. Douchen...

'I’ve stayed here quite a few times when working in the area. Rooms are decent, clean. Would like a bigger tv but not the end of the world. Staff always friendly and helpful. Breakfast is really good. Most evenings I work too late to have evening food but I did eat one evening and had the most amazing Butter Chicken. Always the first place I look to book when I’m working in this area. '

'Just a lovely place to stay, set in characterful buildings in a historic part of town. Walkable to Stamford high street shopping, bars and restaurants, but I'd be happy to stay in the hotel for dinner and drinks too. Rooms are comfortable and well sized. If we're back in town, we'd be looking to stay again.'

'Extremely friendly receptionist and it’s so nice to be accompanied to your room rather than be left alone . The hotel rooms are quite quirky with antique furnishings and our room had an oriental/ Asian flavour…perhaps some artwork over the bed would have made the room more appealing.The bed and shower were great and extremely hot water so that is a bonus.
