'Quaint room and wonderful breakfast..lovely Landlord & Landlady'

'Hotel does need some maintenance doing, our room had some damp in a patch in corner. flakey paint on wall in bathroom. At breakfast there was a bulb going in the main light which was flashing all the time we were having breakfast. Fire exit handle was broken in restaurant and fire extinguisher needs looking at. Food at breakfast was very nice 👍'

'The staff were very friendly and helpful. Good spa facilities which were clean. The room was well set out and clean, although it felt a little tired! Breakfast was good, all fresh and scrambled and poached eggs cooked to order. All in all a good stay.'

'Hidden gem ! Will stay again !'

'The food was fabulous and a great surprise. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would have given it 5 stars but there was a distinct smell of fish on entering the hallway and the bar was only open when the evening meal service started. There was no chance for a drink when you came back from a long walk. Maybe it was because the hotel was not fully booked.'

'The room was very comfortable, the staff were excellent. We loved the ambience and the food There was nothing we disliked except the proximity of the village church which insisted on striking every quarter hour day and night. It was an unusually warm night in October so we had the window open so I would advise using earplugs if the window is open.'

'Stayed here as an entry point to the South West Coastal path so whilst the town itself only has a pub and a post office, it was perfect for a 1 night stay before starting a long walk. There's also a local bus which goes a few times a day. Big room, very clean and comfortable, great breakfast included. Lovely stay.'

'Beautiful hotel. Very attentive staff throughout or staff.'

'Cannot fault the Halfway House Pub. Stayed here for 4 nights..Friendly welcome shown our room by Mike. All staff friendly and helpful. Room was excellent spotless and uensuite was great. Breakfast was very good. Ate here twice in the evening and food was excellent. Great evening spent listening to the Sea Shanty choir. Dog friendly.. No car park but public car park £5 for 24 hours. Will definitely be staying again. Thanks to all staff at the Halfway House.'

'Dichtbij the Hoe en centrum Wuj sliepen in souterain dat was minder.'

'Very bad, mold everywhere. Old rooms everything out of date. Not worth it's money. Last time a booked this hotel. It is dirty and disgusting the state the rooms are in. '
