The delightful 5-star Chalet Kalyssia is just outside St Jorioz, overlooking the magnificent Lake Annecy. The wonderful view is perhaps best enjoyed from the hot tub, or maybe, from  the fabulous swimming pool, which is available from March right through until 11th November. In spring and autumn it is fitted with a three-sided removable cover, to keep the water warmer and cleaner. This means you can enjoy a swim during these periods even on rainy days ! (possibility to have this cover in June, July, August and September - installation fees : 600 euros)

There's more to see inside - this luxury chalet for 11 (10 adults) also has a pool room, a hammam and a wine cellar!

The accommodation is in two parts - the main house, which has three bedrooms for seven people, and the annexe, which has two en suite double bedrooms for four people, and a family sitting room, making it perfect for a family who enjoy their own space.

The property is just a 16-minute drive from the fascinating medieval town of Annecy, where you'll find wonderful canal-side restaurants, shops and antique and produce markets. If you'd rather stay closer to home, there is a good choice of restaurants, cafes, bars and shops in St Jorioz, which also has a lakeside beach.

Chalet Kalyssia is 10 minutes from a lakeside beach and just 20 minutes from skiing or hiking in Semnoz, making it a great choice whatever the season. 

The luxury accommodation at Chalet Kalyssia is set over three floors. The main entrance is on the ground floor, where you will immediately see a large changing room where you can store all your outside clothes - and grab a seat on the chairlift while you get ready! There's also a separate toilet. 

The rest of the floor is the stunning open plan living area, beautifully decorated with old wood and soft neutral shades. There are cosy sofas in front of the gaz fireplace, a large dining table with room for everyone to eat together, and a stylish fully-equipped kitchen with a breakfast bar and central island. This room also opens on to the balcony, with stunning views over the lake and the mountains. From here you can also access the terrace, with a barbecue area, sunbeds, swimming pool  (summer only) and hot tub. 

On a mezzanine floor overlooking this area is the stunning master suite, featuring a kingsize bed, and en suite with feature glass shower. 

There are two more bedrooms on the lower floor - one is a double with an extra single bed, and the other is a large double with a shower room. There's another shower room on this floor in the leisure area, where you can work out in the gym or relax in the steam room or spa bath. At the other end of this floor is the wine cellar, where you can share a bottle with friends. 

The fourth and fifth en suite double bedrooms can be found in the annexe, which also has a large living room with a snooker table and sofas. It's an ideal space for a family who would like their own privacy. 

The garage has room for one car, and there's also room to store skis and bikes. 

ABOUT THE AREA ...

Saint-Jorioz is one of the many beautiful lakeside villages that are dotted around Lake Annecy. It has a good selection of shops and restaurants, as well as a beach and a lakeside footpath.

There are more shops and restaurants in Annecy itself, which is a beautiful medieval town on the edge of the lake. On a sunny day, choose one of the canalside restaurants and watch the world go by. There are also some delightful independent shops, three weekly produce markets, and a monthly antiques market.

In the summer, try out the watersports, swim in the crystal clear lake, or enjoy a cruise across the lake. 

 If you are staying at Chalet Kalyssia in the winter, you can ski at the small resort of Semnoz (26km), where you can buy a lift pass by the hour. The resort of La Sambuy, near Seythenex, south of Lake Annecy, is less than an hour away (25km) and has 10 pistes ranging from green to black. The Aravis stations of La Clusaz, Le Grand Bornand and Manigod are all less than an hour away, and offer 220km of superb skiing.

The heated exterior pool is available between 1st March and 15th November. From 1st March to 31st May and from 15th September to 11th November the pool benefits from a removable cover allowing guests to use it despite bad weather. If you wish to use it between 1st June and 14th September it will be at an extra cost of 600 euros. Pets are not allowed in the bedrooms. For security reasons, the property is equipped with an exterior security camera pointing at the entrance of the house and car park. It can be turned off during your stay on simple demand. Note : the garage is not available between 15th September and 31st May (the pool cover is stored there)
