'Grandpa Pinpin was is the sweetest man I ever met. He runs the place and he keeps trying to communicate with you even if you don’t understand French. Coming from America, I truly appreciated the local experience, and his son was the first person that I actually was able to speak to in the outback of the Territory. Staying in this beautiful home in the fields of sugarcane to get a true experience. Also visit leader price market at the bottom of the street! '

'The rooms were spotlessly clean, with housekeeping service twice a day, which we really appreciated. Very friendly staff. Breakfast was excellent — very generous, with fresh eggs made to order. The overall atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. However, we didn’t find the hotel restaurants particularly cosy, and the prices felt a bit steep considering the quality of the food served.'
