  • De locatie - Dit appartement op de eerste verdieping bevindt zich in Pacific Blue Resort in Salamander Bay. Pacific Blue heeft een enorm zwembad dat rondom het resort ligt, een dagspa, een tennisbaan (byo rackets), een fitnessruimte en een verwarmd zwembad. Allemaal op slechts 400 meter van het winkelcentrum Salamander en op 10 minuten rijden van Nelson Bay, Anna Bay of Shoal Bay.

    Het appartement - Een modern, ruim, open appartement op het noorden met uitzicht op het lagunebad. Wonen met een airconditioner, lounge met uitzicht op de 3D-tv (BYO 3D-bril), Foxtel, multimediaspeler (DVD / Blu-ray / CD), een mini-stereo-installatie met een dock voor iPod / iPhone, een Playstation3 met drie controllers en 12 games , gratis wi-fi en een aparte Kingdream slaapbank. Er is een gerenoveerde woonkeuken met roestvrijstalen apparaten (vaatwasser, magnetron, kookplaat, oven en koelkast) en een Expressi-koffiezetapparaat (BYO Aldi-pods). De slaapkamer heeft een kingsize bed dat kan worden gesplitst om twee king singles te maken, plus een tweede flatscreen-tv en dvd-speler en een badkamer met bubbelbad en douche. Plus een interne wasruimte met wasmachine en droger, veilige opslag in het trappenhuis, offstreet parkeerplaats voor een auto en een balkon van negen meter met een eierstoel (kinderen moeten worden bewaakt) en uitzicht op het zwembad.

    Er zijn absoluut rookmelders in deze accommodatie.

Love the place

We love the place. The place was clean and cozy. Few downs of our stat was: -Not enough tissue rolls for 4days(we only had two rolls for the entire stay) - The pillows are a bit stinky( smell of sweat) except the 4 pillows that we put new pillow cases on.( we only had 4 pillow cases for 4 person) -the aircon in the room shuts off as soon as you turn it on. It doesn’t matter if you put it on 24-20 degrees. As per the instruction. But it was next to shops and the beaches.

Everything was good overall, but there are some issues to note: 1. The real estate management is unfriendly. 2. The property keys were problematic: we had one functioning key for the parking gate and one for downstairs, but the swipe key and room key didn't work. Attempts to contact management were unsuccessful. 3. The bed sheets were dirty,sofa bed and the bed cover had a stain that required washing. I would rate the property cleaning 2 stars, communication 0 stars, but for a place to stay and have fun, it deserves 5 stars—no complaints.

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our stay. The beds were comfortable, the facilities were good, the apartment was clean, there was a play station and games which the kids enjoyed. I had some issues with value for money after paying a premium price. For example I had to make the beds which I didn't expect, there was a coffee machine but no coffee pods, the ironing board was broken.

Stay in Nelson Bay

While I think the property was really nice, there were few things that happened that made our experience mixed. First, we never received the check in pack by email and the msgs we sent to the owner were not replied at all (to this moment). We were luck to know where to pick the key only because of the recipient from the hotel which was not her role to take care of us! 2nd, there was not kitchen table in the unit, high bar is not suitable for little kids! I find it very annoying as well. I would also expect to have some manual how to use the different electronic devices etc

Great.

Loved the resort and pool, the room could use some love and attention, the bathroom/bedroom smelt musty and mouldy.. not sure if it was from the bathroom not having good ventilation or the airconditioner on the wall. Also had to use 2 beach towels to cover the plantation shutters to have full privacy in the bedroom as there was about 8 slats missing, with full view to adjacent rooms! Would most likely return to the resort but would stay in another room and on the ground floor with direct pool access!

Great overall

Nice apartment overall. Great view over the pool and you get most of the days sun. Very spacious and practical. Few areas of potential improvement: - fix the main entry door, it is very difficult to open and having joint problems only makes it worse. - the timer on the clothes drier doesn't work at all. It will keep running if not fixed. - the AC in the living room leaks a lot of water - more attention on cleaning. Found it a little dusty and hairs on the tiles. - get a small dining room table and move the sofa bed near the tv

Classy and comfortable

What a fabulous apartment! It had EVERYTHING we could possible have needed. For a one-bedroom, it felt really spacious and the huge balcony was like having an extra room! Wish it had been longer....we will definitely be back. The extra touches go a long way - this was the best equipped place we have ever stayed.

Wonderful place

The wife and I had a great few days of R&R, the resort is just what we needed to unwind. The apartment was clean and comfortable and had everything needed to enjoy our stay, the spa bath was great to relax in.
